Strong call from Powell, he was far from his best vs Saints. Thewlis deserves a crack at full back, has been good whenever he’s played despite being in and out of the side - sends the right message I think.

He’s strong, committed and never takes a step back, but also a huge grub in the mould of Westwood. The niggle we’ve maybe been lacking. It’s a fine balance though, and I think McGuire is being careful after his faux pas.

You don’t get to play SOO or for the kangaroos unless you’re pretty good though, so don’t judge too soon. He’s also only played in the two matches where we’ve been weaker up front and off our game. I’d like to see him when we’re at our best.

I love Dufty on attack but he had a bit of a mare v Saints & his work under the high ball has been a bit iffy at times. Thewlis has had too many head hits recently, which is a worry. Hope this all works out.

I can only remember one mistake by Dufty under the high ball. Admittedly he wasn’t great against Wigan or Saints, but then neither were the rest of the team.

Have to admit, I’ve been impressed by Dufty simply because the general consensus (probably me included) when he signed was that he wasn’t up to it. He seems to suit this Powell side well.

He's been found out under the high kick when the opposition are closing in, and I suspect unless he can improve on this teams will target him in this manner in the 2nd half of the season.

We look low on enthusiasm and energy. Switched off. The warrington psychology at work again.

You knew exactly how this was going when we went 12-0 up. Intensity drops, crowd start picking their nose and the opposition get a sniff. Happened a thousand times with us down the years.

It's a real problem. We should be chomping at the bit after 2 defeats and a weeks off.

Usual script would be for us to go two scores down and then the urgency to kick in with some short kick offs and Hail Mary passes in our own 20.

Taking the two against the worst 'against' in the league. Why do we let teams drag us into stupid arm wrestles? We have zero guile or killer instinct. Should be chomping at the bit tonight.

Our kicking game is non existant.

A wins a win I guess, we are never going to be at out best every week but we can't allow that to become the standard. We need to sharpen up in both defende and attack, and we need a much better kicking game.

Still don't see where Drinkwater fits into the grand plan. Looked like Williams was doing the work of two men tonight.

That most unpalatable of outcomes - out-enthused on our own midden and needing a big advantage to get home.

Even in the opening salvoes the forwards looked strangely muted; on paper the packs looked like Tyson v Buster Douglas and it pretty much played out that way.

Drinkwater has been OK so far but we really need a player to control territory with an effective kicking game and so far his kicking has been pretty poor. Kicking to corners rather than putting in a shorter kick that can be challenged and more likely force an error or 2. Its all a little predictable and easy to defend against.

I couldn't go but it sounds like the same old Warrington.

There is no way you'd get Saints or Wigan being out-enthused.
Saints could put Jonny Vegas in and he'd do a job and die for the shirt.

We'd put Kerry Katona in and she'd spend her time snorting c instead....

I despair at times with our mentality.

I guess on reflection we are 9/11 and top of the league again with lots of room for improvement. But that performance today was forgettable.
