Charnley was dropped for Manfredi and it's no secret that Waney hates Charnley with a passion, and that they don't speak to each other.

I hate to say this , But I cant see where he would play You have Lineham , Russell , Ormsby , Penny and Rhys Evans pushing for 2 wing spots , Unless he turns out for the season with a number 3 or 4 on his back . Sentiment says let him stay and play him on the wing but My head says it could be time to move on .

I'd have him on the opposite wing to Lineham. Amazed that people genuinely feel that Ormsby and Penny are good enough for a team who should be competing on all fronts this year.

I think people are forgetting that what limited pace he did have, has long since gone. Wasn't he caught by a prop against Hull KR in the semi ?

he was caught easily by the prop.... also, in the same game, we worked an overlap, put the ball in his hands and he didn't have the pace to finish it off from about 10 yards.

That game was the conformation that his legs had gone and it was time to part company.

And yet he finished the season very strongly. I remember thinking to myself, that we may have been a bit rash to get rid. No coincidence that as soon as we got some ball movement from sandow/myler and ratchford, monaghan became useful again.

Let's just test the logic.

From what we understand the other interest in SL is from Salford. A team that finished in the bottom 4. No other club in the top 8 is interested presumably as they think he is past it or too expensive or not better than what they have.

Why should we be interested then now we have Lineham (leaving sentiment behind)?

He was a superb player for us with an amazing score record. But all things that start, end. Thanks for the memories.

I can't see it cap wise, as according to some reports we are still in the market for a prop, unless we are to release someone.

I hope Monaghan goes back to Australia and stays there .................... I was disgusted that an English club chose to sign him in 2010, and although the passage of time has reduced my revulsion for Monaghan, I still don't like seeing him and being reminded of "that" event.
