Paranoia leaking everywhere.

Clarke, in my opinion, actually has a lot of time for us. I've defended him before and I'll defend him again. He referred to us as one of the best two sides a few times last night and calls it as he sees it. Plus he doesn't get carried away heaping praise on anyone in particular (inc Wigan), people just make that up.

As for not commenting much on our win over Wakefield, has it ever occurred to anybody that Wakey are an absolute abomination? Yes 66 points is nice on the eye but some of those tries we put on them - wow! Super League standard defence? Really?

Clarke is perhaps more concerned with some of the teams abilities, or should I say lack of, in this competition rather than overwhelmed by the team responsible for putting 60+ points through them....

I'm a big Paul Cullen fan, and will always speak highly of him and his time with the club.

However, over the last few months or so especially, he is finding it increasingly difficult to give any praise to Warrington at all when talking about our games.

I don't see that from Cull at all. I've heard him say on several occasions that we are a very well coached team. That must be hard for him to say.

Me neither. He's very generous with his comments and you get the feeling he loves watching us play.

Must be tough on him though.

I agree, I've heard him give us plenty of praise on TV since he's departure from the club.

But just of late I've started to notice him maybe not give us a bit of credit where it's due, I think it was the show after the Bradford game where maybe I noticed it. Where I've thought "Hmm I hope that's not a bit of bitterness creeping in Cull". He's probably in his right to maybe feel a bit bitter, that I understand.

Don't get me wrong, he owes us nothing. It was just an observation.

Cull must take some of the credit for the way we go forward, i bet it pleases him but the defence has nothing to do with him, his Wimbledon philosophy of you score 4 we'll score 5 was never going to work.

I'm pretty sure that was never his philosphy.

He made my fizz just then. "Thats why Wigan are different from all the other teams". Inferring they are a class above. 1pt in it in the league with us having the best attack and defence and we beat them away in the last league game we played. I think Wigan probably are marginally better than us but to suggest a gulf is disrespectful.

Yes I know he is obviously fond of bigging up Wigan but so what, he played for them, captained one of their strongest ever teams, its fair enough he has got some loyalty to them. I don't really notice it you just get used to it If you don't like hearing what he says you can turn the sound off and put the radio commentary on instead. It will be funny when Wigan go through a bad patch like watching the Ashes last winter with all those Aussie ex players who were always massively biased to the Aussies, getting wound up about how much they were getting pasted.

I was getting excited about Tomkins. The guy is amazing. Ugly as sin, but a great player.
