| That would be so tough on Grix especially after last night's performance, IMO he wasn't far off MOM.
Would like to see him at 13 though rather than 6

I can't believe that you think Riley doesn't deserve to be in the side; what more does he have to do for some people?
He is joint leading try scorer in Super League and you want him out of the team; absolutely baffling

| Riley should be well and truly cemented in the starting 13, whether it be on the wing or at full back. Barring any major dip in form.

| I have nothing against Mathers, but I wouldn't mind seeing Hicks revert to full back and have Riley and King on the wings.

| I think grix will go out the side altho I'd rather he stayed in the side as he can play numerous position. I would rather lose mathers and have Riley at full back but thought the backs looked better with Riley on the wing and mathers at fb as he ran the ball back well so would expect grix out for briers for consistency in the backs

| Dropping Louis Anderson should ease the selection problem somewhat. He had a stinker last night...passing the ball to the opposition...knocking on...He charged down a kick which he collected and was in the clear but he looked very much like my late grandmother when she used to run to catch a bus.He only shot out of the defensive line just the once though leaving a huge gap down the left hand side which almost resulted in a Wakefield try. It seems he is seeking the *big hit* which never happens. Perhaps a long holiday in Wellington would be the appropriate therapy he needs.

| People loved Penny ? He's almost been hounded out of the club by some of the posters on here. Of course he makes mistakes like every player does but Penny's mistakes seem to be particularly unforgiveable.

I've come to the conclusion that certain fans expect certain players to be perfect, they aren't allowed to make mistakes.
Riley has dropped the odd ball in defence and people seem to pick up on that rather than the good he does.
I've always liked Riley, although in his early days, I didn't think he'd ever be up there as a player who could lead us to trophies. I've certainly changed my mind in that sense now though.

| Briers didn't play on Good Friday last year and we lost because of our loss of creativity. I'd hate that to happen again.

I think he has.
Wasn't at his best last night, but he didn't do much wrong at all. After he picked the ball up after the charge down he stumbled forward for 5 yards which stopped him getting a few yards on the chaser and giving a good pass out.

| Riley's clearly too small for Super League. Maybe give him a run at scrum-half if we get a few injuries, but he isn't up to it. We need a classy winger like Richards or Sheriffe.

How many times this season has Riley been too small ? A dozen times isn't it ?
I can only presume your tongue was embedded firmly in your cheek when you made that post...either that or you don't know what you are talking about.

| Selection headaches caused by an abundance of good, in-form players is the 'problem' coaches love to have. Grix will probably be on the bench if Briers returns, and he won't mind that, especially given his ability to play centre, half-back or back-row forward. He's just about the perfect sub. Mitchell, McCarthy or Blythe would love to be in Grix's shoes.

| Just because he's joint top scorer doesn't mean he's undroppable. Most of his tries are simple run ins, that most Super League wingers would score. To be fair to Penny, ball in hand, he can score tries that Riley could only dream of. Obviously Riley would get in the team ahead of Penny, until he learns to defend.
Riley has good acceleration, and his wholhearted displays should be admired, but I'm yet to be convinced that he has top end gas, plus he has no real step or swerve. You would back the FB one on, almost every time. I don't see him as a player that is going to every win a game on his own. Plus, he is too small.
Assuming Bridge and Atkins, at centre, then first choice wingers should be King and Hicks, with Mathers/Riley fighting it out at FB.
