| I’m a bit surprised by the negativity on here. They threw a lot at us, and offloaded at every chance. We struggled to contain that, but we defended absolutely superbly. Even though we conceded two, we were in the frame on both. The first, right at the end of the first half, Leyland would have liked to have done better but we scrambled to make a challenge of it.
The second, let’s face it that Cotric kick was a hit and hope and the bounce sat nicely for Keary. Still, Powell makes it back to make a good challenge.
They are both tries, but I think we can take something from keeping them out for 38 minutes in the first and 33/34+ minutes in the second half. Particularly with the three key penalties against Currie, Crowther and Dufty which were all stupid in truth.
I got the same feeling this week as last week that we had gears left, but we couldn’t find them. If we can, and we can tidy up the discipline, there’s a decent team there.

| Leyland was decent last night, but i did notice he runs out of the defensive line often. To be fair to him he stopped a few runs doing that and stopped momentum for them, but against the likes of Wigan they'll exploit that.
Good thing with Fitz is, if he is sore after a game with his shoulder or has a niggle, we can rest him knowing Holroyd can step straight in, so will help prolong his game time and health.
Attacking wise for us i think we're good, you have to credit Catalans for how physical and strong defensively they are. Alot of games are going to be close this year, so the fact we're ready to roll our sleeves up, do the hard work and grind a win out is superb and shows we are fully in the right mind set.
I thought we did well across the board, Dufty i full get why he was so peed off, they did so many little undwrhand things and got away with it, it was stupid.
I'm really looking forward to next weeks game and really hope Burgess makes it in person as i think it will make a positive difference him actually being there.
But like was said above, They've had 3-4 months to sort it, so does read like we've left it quite late. Might not be the case though as i don't know the time frame for these kinds of things?
