As for King, he's the absolute epitome of average. How he got the supposed inflated contract he's on from us is one of life's mysteries.

So while I wouldn't be writing Wigan (or anyone) off right now, I don't think Cooper or King are going to be sat there thinking they are any better off as a result of going there, with regards to getting themselves a GF winners medal.

What Dizzy isn’t getting is that attacks run lines to hit small men in one on ones, as Salford were doing last week. It’s the defensive structure that is found out, not the ability of a halfback or all the backs to make one on one tackles. Players don’t suddenly become poor defensive if a forward runs over or through them once singled out. There ought to be two other guys either side working as a unit. If one man gets broke in a one on one, the other two defenders are at fault.

Excellent start to the campaign, but the proof in the pudding will be whether we can string a run of performances together at the beginning of September. So far, performances and results have been better than I expected, but that hasn't raised my expectations for the entire season. I'm looking forward to the run of Catalans (a), Wigan (h) and Saints (a) with some confidence that we'll be competitive, rather than with total dread. If we can string three good performances together in those three games, that would bode very well for the rest of the season.

I’ll admit to being one of those wanting him tied up to us long-term. There weren’t many decent centres around and he was just starting to look like the real deal and on an upward trajectory. I didn’t realise that was as good as it would get. Somehow I imagined if we had lost him to Saints for example, he’d go on to become some sort of world-class talent that we’d rue the day we let him slip away.

Side note, Redvee is in meltdown calling Wellens 'Cunningham Mk2'. The spoiled sense of entitlement is sickening, some are actually incredulous that they lost to tiny, newly-promoted Leigh. Arrogance all over the show.

I am afraid Saints have had it so good for years but this sort of backlash is pathetic. Mind you if we suddenly lose there will be a few on our forum who will suddenly re-appear & have something to say. It is the way it works. So far so good.

Hull KR didn’t announce an attendance for their game against Warrington on Friday, which ended in an 18-10 scoreline for the Wolves. When contacted by Love Rugby League for an official attendance figure, the club said they would be announcing quarterly attendance figures in 2023 rather than at each game.

Sounds fishy - appropriately enough for Hull KR!

He's in top 3 for 3 of the 6 categories - carriers, assists and meters made.

Interesting that Josh Charnley is top meter maker by a mile..... well over 100 meters.
