To be fair if Smithies and Partington were playing for us like that we would be loving it. I have been impressed with them both and Byrne. None of them are the biggest but they just keep running the ball in and tackling. It is quite funny watching bigger more experienced players get rattled (Watts, Lafao and Cooper recently). The great thing is they get under the skin of an opposition prop and they then burn a load of energy running round trying to put them in their place. It must be quite soul destroying having some kid 2 stone lighter and 10 years younger that keeps getting in your face.
Yep they are sort of grubs and the black gumshield will be knocked out one day but it is interesting watching those little battles.

I wouldn't love the hair ruffling and gobbing off one bit if they played for Wire. Between them they probably have the correct amount of chromosomes for one human. They've also clearly been at the 'Gabes'.

We’ve been there if Salford get over the line then we can talk about that! We’re in a salary capped sport with a number of teams that can compete with our spending, we’ve been awful this year and so has rest the rest of super league bar saints... we’ve missed a trick I think it’s a coaching failure rather than team failure. Like someone on another thread said we’re easy to defend against 5 drives and a kick, give Price till April and he’s gone. Made up for Salford though but think saints will stick 50 on them next week unfortunately.

I can see why you'd enjoy it, but would it really be that big a shock? They're clearly the side in form and they finished above Warrington, which would suggest them beating us would be less of a shock than Warrington doing so?

its got nothing to do with warrington....we know we have a poor side, but this is your best side in years.... and we beat it in the cup final with Ben Currie at 6.

Your Cup final win was the same as our Grand Final win in 2014, but you played better so didn't need the extra man.

The mental wall is definitely there with Saints. I said it before the Challenge Cup final too, but the first try is absolutely critical. We get it and we're likely to be composed and win comfortably. If we go two scores up in the first half, it'll be over. BUT if Salford score first, well, you saw the mess that followed at Wembley. They score first and we'll probably need a team of psychiatrists just to get the game restarted.
