That would be far too much salary cap to spend on two players for one position, when Clark is more than capable of playing 60 minutes plus.

We kind of used to that now, been one of my bugs signing players near to end of career. But would we say no to Cooper Cronk who willbe 34 by time of 2018.

Indeed, Clarks injury record is ok though. I think we need another player brought in, but the standard of player (and so his salary) need to reflect they will very much be playing second fiddle to Clark, third if Smith keeps improving.

I'm more than happy with Morgan to play 9 in preference over Dwyer and as full understudy to Clark in 2018.

Me too, but he sees himself as a Halfback in the future, so if/when that time comes, we need to ensure there is someone to cover Clark. If Clark ever leaves, it could mean another 1/2 hookers have to be found to replace him.

It's one of those cross roles with the loose forward. Sometimes you can carry a hb as a forward if there are plenty forwards around him and if the loose is more beef than brains.

Smith was brought in as a highly rated half back, who has been doing a good job at hooker. He may well end up a hooker, but I'd like to give him a shot as a back up half first.

Either way, we no longer have Gidley to cover so if Clark is injured that means we have Smith as first choice and ANO to fill in on the bench. We need another hooker for me, let Smith be the player he was signed to be.

Couldn't livett cover Hooker as well? He needs game time and if that's his best bet I'm sure he would take it. I think he'd do well there and half back could be difficult for him depending on who we sign.

Livett can do a job at centre when Atkins goes, but I'd put money on him being the future 13 at this club.

Good call but I think for HL to move into a loose spot we'll probably need that coach change. TS has little care for the class loose forward...other than Mike Forshaw under Cullen and Scott through the ranks...who was the last out and out loose at Wire?

HL looks to be messed about like Ratch under TS unless the alledged change of Agar brings about an assistant who isn't a yes man and is determined to install his ideas under TS.

........................... and just for the record, Harvey has been tried at loose when playing for the U19's. It didn't seem to work out, although as he gains more experience perhaps he may try it again. Coaches constantly switch players searching for their best position in order to maximise the impact of the team ( and provide position back-up for periods of injury).

You've twisted my arm. However we are still going back to the Cullen period for looseforward with "a pair of hands" pre Westerman.

We had grix after anderson and up until his injury he was a brilliant 13, considered our most underrated player and I am sure he was potentially captain material by management once moz hung up his boots. I am not sure we've had much of a spell without a ball playing loose forward apart from when we've been unfortunate with injuries really.
