As an aside and I'm not blaming him for our loses but Ben currie has been very very poor in defence this season imo.

True. Sadly a shadow of the player he was pre injuries.

I've always been a huge fan of Ben, and still am - he remains our most naturally gifted player but his performances are symptomatic of what is going wrong : I thought he would blossom under Powell, but he looks ineffective, shackled and frustrated.

Literally awful. Williams is awful, Holmes is awful, Widdop after a master class last week is awful this week. Matty Davis shouldn't be in the team, Philbin shouldn't be in the team.
Cooper Did what Cooper does and give 100% effort. Just literally scratching my head. I'm still backing Powell, but 1st year as a coach isn't the be all end all as a coach. But this from the players is shocking.
I genuinely think this extra time off the players have had over the past 2 weeks shouldn't have happened. Oli Holmes for 1 went camping in Scotland for 6 Days, then came back and went to the Weekender for 2 days. So what had 4 days of Training and getting prepared. I understand players do need time off to refresh their bodies etc but we got knocked out the challenge cup straight away so have had 2 fortnight breaks now and we're only on round 14.
For me we should be doing bonding sessions in this time like bootcamp assault courses etc or days out together (not getting hammered).
To just give the players 10 days off from each other in 14 days i think is rediculous.
We DO have the players to be a force this year, we showed that at saints. Just utterly bizzarre.
And no offense but people saying Powell is deluded with his comments are deluded themselves. What do you want him to do, say the team is poop and all the players are garbage live on Sky. Of course he's not going to do that.

I expect him to be angry, you don't have to say we're in a good place, it's disrespectful to expect the fans to swallow such a line. I want to hear that there are going to be changes, a serious look at what the hell is going wrong, Powell gives the impression that thinks are great and things just need tweeking and every week the opposition had a really great game (strange they all do when playing us) rather than there are fundamental problems. That's why some of us think he sounds delusional. As it happens I've had his back , the culture of the club does need changing and backed him to change whatever players he thinks need to go but I must admit with after game interviews like that I'm losing a bit of faith in him.

Can see the club giving a 1000 dads and lads tickets out for next home game, can’t see many outside of current season ticket holders wanting to go. Fear next game will be attended by a challenge cup type attendance.

My point being if you want big attendances you need a winning team, fans are fickle that’s a fact, but hey we have wolves running around on the pitch a bloke in a green leotard and now razzy whiscal because some bright spark thinks it’s that what gets fans in, let’s see the next home game.

For large parts last night you would have thought Leeds had twice as many players on the pitch. They had commitment ,commitment to make every play count & commitment to put plenty of players into supporting the ball carrier & that commitment produced scoring opportunities.

Strange analogy - think it's probably more to do with Manchester having a population more than three times that of Norwich (and a capacity of 28k at Carrow Road) meanwhile an underperforming Man Utd still maintain a strong attendance (occasional cup ties aside).
