When I looked the other day I actually thought that corner was lower then both stands.

How are they random, if they were intentional? They are the padded seats for the new boxes, with something similar being added in the new corner.

Not likely unless another large sum of money is found, the NW corner has to have a large enough entrance for emergency vehicles to get on the pitch and continuing the terracing in the SW corner won't be that much of an increase of capacity, the concourse wouldn't be able to be continuous either.

You would've thought they'd have blue seats, in keeping with the colour scheme?

If the builders find themselves at a loose end at any point can they construct some sort of sunlight blocker so I don't have to watch most games shielding my eyes from my speccy in the East Stand? (I know I could just move stands but building some massive structure to stop the sun would be much easier)

They look random because the only other yellow seats in the north stand spell out WWRL. These ones don't signify anything and are also a different shade of yellow. Hence they spoil the overall look of the stadium.

What is happening with the support struts for the existing stands? Are they going to remove those or will people in the corners be taken back to old school grounds and have to dodge either side as the play moves up the field?

There will be no poles to obstruct view.

The answer is YES. The seat numbering for 2012 has been changed so that in time it can be continued into the NW corner. There has for a long time been a rumour that the SW corner will be some kind of screen/media centre but... the current expansion is increasing the capcity from 13k to 15,5k and the club have said they have plans for 18k indicating both may be filled in. Emergency vehicles will not need to actually enter the stadium as long as emergency personnel can access the ground. As for continuing the concourse, why not? Its happening at the SE and NE corners. All the club needs to do is have manned doors to stop the public simply wandering round

For H&S reasons I'm almost certain an ambulance needs access to the pitch so that's why 1 corner won't be filled in or at best, they'll build over the top of the gate (if feasible).

Doesn't look a great deal of room on the concourse under that corner. It's small at the best of times but that's cramped.

Have been told by a reliable source that the entrance to the pitch is like that scene in Willy Wonka where the door gets really small as you walk towards it.

They signify people have paid a lot of money to sit in them, and when they do that it makes sod all difference to the overall look of the stadium, or are we concerned with what an empty stand looks like on a non0-match day?

No, it isn't, the answer is maybe if there is another significant investment and capacity is warranted/needed.



The south west corner will have steelwork in place for the sky screen, moving it from the south stand. I doubt the capacity will hit 15.5k when the two current corners are filled in, 15k will be pushing it. Mr Gatcliffe likes to massage and talk the figures up at any given opportunity.



Emergency vehicles do have to be able to enter the stadium, unless you can talk the safety committee out of it, as its they who set the capacity and regulations of use. The concourse cant continue all of the way around because the groundsmans store is now in the way in the south west corner having been moved from the NE corner to allow for the new build. It'll be a nice horse shoe concourse for the home fans when its completed with the turnstiles being where the bevan statue is, as well as new ticket office next to the main entrance.

Can't see what the pic above shows, but I noticed this morning that the SE corner now has concrete terracing in place.
