| one inexplicably popular lager; Budweiser.
Pretty much ubiquitous when you go to Florida, the only decent American beers you can have as an alternative are Samuel Adams Boston or Michelob Ultra which are like a heavier, brown ale.

I'd rather steep my own socks in tepid water, after 36 holes of golf in hot weather, anfd then drink it, than have Budweiser...truly awful
Now, the Czech Budvar on the other hand.....MMMMMM
San Miguel, Cat, I find to be lovely, but only drinking it very occasionally, as I quickly get bored of it
An absolute BELTER I'm drinking at the mo, is alcoholic Ginger Beer
Not the expensive Crabbie's stuff @ £2 odd in supermarkets, but the Aldi equivalent, called Church's Ginger Ale...it's FANTASTICHE, and 70p a bottle cheaper, good value

| Proper draught Greenalls Bitter, from a hand pump or the electric pumps you only used to see in the North ( they had a glass cylinder on the bar where you could see the beer being drawn into ) was a very fine pint indeed. Thomas Greenalls Original was even better, but not widely distributed. Ironically, you could get it for while in the late 1990s in Milton Keynes and a few other far-flung locations when Greenalls owned a pub/restaurant chain.
Festival was from the dark period when fizzy keg beers were trying to take over. Every brewer had one, with Double Diamond probably the most famous. All such beers were fundamentally chemical crap but very profitable. Thanks to the efforts of CAMRA, they have largely disappeared.

They sell it in the cons, both bitter and mild.
The bitter tastes great but is, i believe, a maelstrom of chemicals. It certainly left me with a sore head and I don't do hangovers.

Speaking of headaches, all that Caffrey's, Killkenny tosh that was doing the rounds in the mid 90's.
2 pints of the stuff would leave you feeling like you'd done 15 rounds with Marvin Hagler, and then Thomas Hearns was just about to start on you.
Not good

Curry must be from Tayef, IT'S THE LAW....Garlic Lamb Hydrabadi (not tikkad)...awesome

The "tart fuel" of the early 90's
Regular as clockwork, you'd see young ladies going into 2nd Avenue, asking for 4 diet cokes, and coming out 2 hours later, poohfaced, with empty bottles clanking in their handbags

| Found out that JW Lees now brew Greenalls Bitter and Mild in Cask. Shame they dont bang more of the stuff out and in bottles would be good.
I've got a bottle of Greenalls jubilee from 1977 at home.
