I’m shocked the sliding in with the knee didn’t warrant even a penalty. Late knee to the head should be a few matches, reckless at the very least.
Richardson was just a penalty because didn’t interfere with a clear try scoring opportunity, no complaint on that from me.

I don't enjoy Ratchford in the halves, he needs to be buzzing around the play the ball when we are attacking.

Was a much harder watch than last week, but the defensive effort was still quite awesome. Hicks rarely let us have a sniff of the ball, so to stay in the game showed tremendous resolve.

Give Cas credit for it being a harder watch, they're a much better side than Hull, a massive test for us with a depleted squad. We did incredibly well to stay in the game and tremendously well to snatch it. Incredible character, how big a moment was kings try saver. Cas weren't clinical enough but we made it really hard for them with effort and determination.

Really proud of the teams effort again. Ausin, King and Ashton for MOS points IMO.

A victory for hard endeavour and not letting Cas get away on the scoreboard when they were on a roll in the first 40, and when we were a man down in second. A fine quality try to take two league points, or whatever the weird percentage equivalent might be.

Some effort, great support play from Ashton, few out can’t complain defence absolutely awesome.

The Milner incident was appalling and I really didn't think Austin would recover. Milner had his arms stretched out to his sides, no attempt at a tackle and went in both knees first. Cowardly and blatant attempt to injure an opponent.

Proper arm wrestle of a game and very enjoyable to watch. Gelling needs to cut down on his knock ons.

Couple of errors from Gelling but otherwise a very good performance from him.

Scrappy start but easy to forget who we have out. Fair play to everyone involved and shouts to that core of senior players, Ratch, Austin, Cooper, Currie (who surely deserves his new deal now).

Shout to T.King too for 80 mins of full effort. Walker tackling was tenacious as well

Very very impressive fitness and defence.

Cas had more than enough opportunities to win that, but not taking kicks at goal when they had pens came back to bite them. Some poor decisions went against Cas but I think Powell will be saying they've only themselves to blame.

Lineham will get a lengthy ban imo.
Milner leading with the knees and not being penalized was poor.

A few too many needles pens given away made our life difficult at times - Latu, Walker, Gelling all guilty.

We struggled with the lack of go forward, but Charnley and Lineham worked really hard - and Coops had another great game although Cas clearly worked on stopping his ofloads.

And how good was Toby King tonight. Great performance.

I think Robson and Johnson need big raps for there performance tonight, both youngsters stood up and played really welll

All of the above but i think Ratchford at half back may have hampered us a bit tonight. He was so set at half back he couldn't do any of his broken play running which could have made life easier for the team tonight.

If Lineham is banned, it would solve a problem of where to put Ratchford. Ashton to wing & Ratchford to full back.

Great effort from the lads when you consider the boys that were missing. Them wins can be more satisfying than battering teams by 20+ points. I thought Coops was outstanding again as was King. Mamo pretty faultness again and Danny Walker stood up in the absence of Super League's best 9 making 58 tackles. Ellis Robson continues to impress me. Why are we letting him go? There's lots there to work with. He's surely a better option than Sita.

I would definitely leave King where he is for the time being whilst we are pretty stocked at centre. As mentioned he definitely offers another dimension in the back row. He's dynamic and quick and offers something that Hughes/Clark do not.
