Either way, Williams and the potential clubs won’t be signing on the dotted line yet I’m sure. They’ll wait until it’s a bit more clear what’s happening with him this season. I reckon if there was a chance of freeing up space here or at another big club it would have been down by now. It’s becoming increasingly likely he’ll have to sit out this season and join in November. At least he won’t be injured playing for another club in the meantime.

And this as me thinking Leeds is a possibility for him, I have seen it mentioned they have shown interest and it’s not like it’s 100’s of miles away. I mean what player with potential to be playing in a World Cup would not want to, no way is he going to sit out a season just because he can not fit into a current teams salary cap,if we were moving someone on it should of been done by now.

Williams is a Wire and I told you weeks ago. It’s just this season he’s out in limbo. Not sure how his agent will get him a short term contract somewhere, but I suspect it is where the ‘not signed for anyone’ alleged quote is referencing. Being economical with the fact.

I never believe anything till it’s actually announced, it’s one thing to have a rumour but to say we have signed someone when it’s not actually confirmed is different,the duck is not the only one to make these comments.

It seems blindingly obvious the deal for Williams was for next season and him becoming available now has confused matters. It might be that he's agreed to join for next year but not signed it yet, hence his insistence that he hasn't. There doesn't seem to be any other clubs linked anymore and he's ruled Wigan out.
