| Lets face it he's never going to be dropped as he gets paid too much, we're just going to have to put up with him or wait for a coach with some man spuds, I still feel bridge and king were just as poor defensively as any other combination lets try a different one next week perhaps king and morley on the wing!

| you used to be able to get in for less than a tenner and watch mark forster/dessie etc. busting a gut every week and you then knew that the players would go off and make up their wages with their other jobs
now you have to pay 17 quid for the priviledge of watching players here for a laugh who clearly don't give a fig
that sticks in my throat big time!
jeffersonthetiger i can whole heartedly say i'd sooner watch foz than king any day of the week i don't care what's on his CV he is a disgrace and it kills me that he is ruining the way i feel about the club i have loved for years i would sooner go and watch rylands than warrington at the minute

| I'd like to see the match again to see why King is being criticized.
Last week - rightly so.
This week - he did what a winger does - scored a try and took the ball up on occassion to help out the forwards.
Arguably he got caught out by a couple of chip kicks, but Riley covered.
Nothing outstanding by don't think he deserves the wrath of many for last night.

It's the bit at the end when the game had finished that people are upset about - we know what to expect on the field - mediocrity. When he was laughing and joking with his mates he made us look like nobs. At the very least he should wait until he's in the dressing room hence the stupid/arrogant conundrum.

| King had a decent game last night.
There's nothing wrong whatsoever with greeting an old friend with a smile!
Since his signing he has been disappointing overall, but last night's performance doesn't warrant the criticism he's getting.

Yeah, I agree he wasn't terrible last night, but we shouldn't be talking in these terms for a so called World Class player. We should be talking about the brilliant things he did, not just the fact that he made some decent drives. Anyone in our squad could have taken his try.

But don't you think it is a bit daft to do it AS you are being booed off? If it was you, would you not wait until you got into the dressing room?
That is a bit stupid isn't it?

| Didn't see the 'laughing' bit so can't comment.
King may be world class in a system that suits him - but overall he's been a major disappointment for us so far considering he was meant to be one of the best 3 centres in the world when he joined us.
Not seen much of his Aussie matches to comment on how good his defence was then.

King isn't in the same galaxy as Gidley. They have the same first name and job. Other than that, and the fact they are white males, the similarities end.

how do you work that out. Gidley is one of the great great Aussie centres not some winger who was shoved at centre because he's big.
Comparing King to Gidley is like comparing a dollop of dog turd with a slice of Vienetta

| We'll see who was to 'blame' for this weeks loss as Lowes has said:
"If some of the guys continue in that vein, they won't be playing in the first team."
Should be about 10 changes for friday then. lol

| Apologies for lurking, but was interested to see reactions after Saturday;s game having gone along.
It interesting to note that the players under fire are the Aussies, yet there is mainly good things to be said on here about British players at Wire (Briers being the exception at the mo perhaps).
Frankly, we are all to blame for this. Every fan of every Superleague side that posts each season about who the next great Aussie import might be. We all look for quick fixes and instant success through big signings from down under. It is a fact that I've often repeated in forums that no team has won a Grand Final with an Australian halfback, and Wigan are the only team to have fielded one in a final.
New Zealanders and Islanders are different. They come in their prime, or before it in most cases and earn their places in the team then and spend good long years with clubs. (The Pauls are the only non-British halfs to win a grand final ring).
yet every year we look for the next big name Australian. Whilst a few have been successful, the numbers who have gone home without bringing the expected success in the modern era are staggering. Even where they have made an impact -some might point to Barrett at Wigan for instance- its back to square one when they leave.
Surely the lessons must be learnt by us all!

| What bites Warrington on the bum though, is that to secure the deals, and to beat off competition, we give the chaps 4 year deals, and when it doesn't go according to plan, your suckered.
On that note, I've just been thinking about the overseas lads, and that's another thing, you look at why they are misfiring, and they are 'bad signings' and whatever else, I think it's easy to forget just how many other clubs wanted these blokes, and Warrington fought off pretty stiff competition to land them, Monaghan had NRL options, Hull I think too, King had Hull KR, Wigan amongst others. There was obviously a weight of opinion that these players would be a success in SL, for there to be such a scramble for signatures, this just baffles me even further as to their diabolical form. (King especially)

| If word on the street is to be believed, we weren't in for King at all, then I think it might have been either Whelan or Lindsay were gloating to Moran, or something, so he thought "love it" and signed King, when we were apparently close to signing Brett Hodgson.
How hindsight is a wonderful thing..
