Swinton finding gaps on our defence too easily in that 1st half hour. That’s not championship rugby from Wire.
And we have no attack on our right side...that’s alarming at this level of competition.

Fair play to Swinton, not great viewing and you'd struggle to tell which team was full time SL for large parts of that first half. Improvement definitely required and unfortunately there's plenty of room for it.

It's all so predictable one way no right hand side threat lets hope that the 2nd half will be better following an inspired team talk at HT

You’d have to think Austin and a few others know they’re not staying after this season. Seem to be going through the motions.

There’ll need to be something done very soon to rescue this season. We are so far behind the top teams even at this early stage.

We are desperate for Swinton to weaken in this 2nd half as they did in the last ten mins of first half to pick up points.
Thank heavens we only had to play a decimated Leigh team last week. We are not ready for half decent teams, never mind Hull FC.

Very poor from Wire - To put things in perspective - Austin is paid more per week than All Swinton players in a month.

Hull: so next week we got Wire what’s the plan. Well we just defend the kick to King. Ok anything else NOPE ok well have the rest of the week off and don’t turn up late on Sunday.

It's really dissapointing that we fielded a stronger side there than we needed to. I honestly think the Fringe players especially the younger lads would have been hungrier to perform, see matt Davies. Thewlis should have played for me, so should wrench to have an opportunity to grow from the first match of the season. Glad robson and Ashton got a run out and hope Ashton is alright too.

To be fair we have a performance in us and our left edge is dangerous against anyone, Clark and widdop are classy players who can make things happen. That said I don't expect us to win though, it's far more likely we will be dreadful and get a bit of a spanking. Hull look great, they have good players everywhere and appear to be a more solid unit as a team than we do, plus they actually show attacking intent. They won't take us lightly, they will prepare for the best version of Warrington however unlikely it is that team will actually turn up.

Give some credit - Well played Swinton.
Stuart Littler seems to be doing a fine job.
They showed some great shape, had some assured handling and werent afraid to give it a go.
Some decent breaks too.
If they'd improved their last tackle plays by being more orthodox - decent kick - they may have been able to build some pressure.
In the end they had too much defending to do, but impressive fitness levels. They only dropped a bit in the last 10 minutes resulting in the Ashton and Walker tries.

Unlike some (And I'm not saying they are wrong), an avalanche type win would be expected. Difficult for Wire to impress.
Left side looked good even though no Widdop.
I'm not sure if the attitude was right, but can't point my finger to any particular player.
The team made some decent meters after contact, but theyll struggle against SL opposition.

I'm actually looking forward to the next 3 or 4 weeks as they are tough.
This will be the big test.
It's about decent performances and SP keeping his job or not.
(Stil want Hendo to be given a chance assuming he doesn't go to Cas in the meantime).

I agree with the above post about Mat Davis, he is not my favourite player but I thought he was really good today. On the other hand Charnley was .....'not really good'. I wonder if Price picked up any good moves from Swinton that we could use ?

How was the Our league App coverage, today? I was put off by the Bradford v Sheffield game only getting sorted and streamed for the second half.
