I've just wrote the post to explain my idea and seeing if anyone wants to help. Sorry if the way I worded it scares you.

I like the flag

Very surprised that Dropkick Murphy hasn't chirped up saying it needs a non-mainstream Stone Roses line complete with skull and crossbones.

He'll be hibernating in his post-GF fug until February.

If not weird the reaction to Lee's enforced retirement is somewhat OTT.
He has been a great player for Warrington but he will be the first to say that he has had his best games when Warrington fielded a good pack of forwards. When the pack got second prize he was often anonymous. In my opinion Morley was the main influence player wise in turning Warrington's fortunes around. He was the cornerstone of the team whose presence instilled confidence in his colleagues. If he was the general then Lee was the tactician and I think they will both both be sorely missed but, to me this deification of someone, albeit he was extremely talented and loyal to the cause, is OTT.
He has just finished playing his career and is starting on a new coaching career at the Wire. I think it is premature to start
commemorating him at this stage although it may well be appropriate at some time in the future.
If people want to spend good money on a flag, good luck to them but, if I was to subscribe to a flag, the flag would be to Simon Moran because, without him, Lee would not have his three CCs or the Lance Todd trophy. He would have been that good half back who did not get the recognition he deserved which was the situation pre Simin Moran.

Simon Moran would cringe with embarrassment if his face was stuck on a flag!

Any donation is fine, even 50p. just a little something from the fans to Lee and the club. If anything it can brighten the place up.

What are we believing in?

England winning the World Cup?
Man Utd winning the Champions League?
Or Mars being better than Snickers?

It's not just about Briers I suppose. the way he's grabbing the badge, the way he looks. I suppose It's a way of reminding us to keep the faith. Next season may go completely wrong, you saw what people were like on here when we lost a couple of games, everyone goes mad.

I dread to think what they'll be like if we're sitting in 6th with our new squad.

I suppose the idea of my flag, It's something that can be looked at and interoperated many ways.

It's a great idea that as you say, can be interpreted in many ways. I'm looking forward to next season and seeing the likes of Currie, England, Russell and Asotasi. We all need to remember, it's not how you start but how you finish.

Don't worry about the detractors mate, a lot of people will like it.

I take the point about the hyperbole surrounding Lee's retirement, but I agree the person on the flag is largely irrelevant - it's the symbolism displayed by the pose, the P&B and the message that matters. A message that will remain pertinent whatever Lee does in the future ...

My point really was that the believe slogan has already been done to death. Good luck with the flag though. I also think that image could be done a little better.

I like the idea of a flag for Lee, he's been a dedicated servant of Warrington. I don't like the image though, makes his face look a little weird IMO
