I'm surprised that Mathers has a case to answer, he was clearly stepped and made an instinct grab. Penalty sufficient in my opinion.

Not a lot probably. Didn't he come out with some comment along the lines of "Great Hit" at the time. This was minutes after a ten minute rant where he stopped marginally short of calling for capital punishment for Demetriou (sp). |

at least the fact that Robinson is no bigger than a garden gnome should help his cause......

The RFL have always had no kahuna's when it comes to certain teams.
Well, at least we know in future that you can get away with a punch just as long as it doesn't make contact with the eye.

I really didn't think it was that bad a tackle from Mathers. It was more of a grab than anything IMO, I'd like to have another look at it on tele, but I'm supprised that He's been charged for it.
Cunningham on the other hand, sometimes I'm genuinely supprised at some of the stuff that comes out of the RFL, that is priceless....So basically, there saying it's ok to strike, as long as you don't aim at the eyes. Intresting precident there putting down there.
