Don't know much about him only really heard of him when we signed his brother.
Seems to have played a mix of centre and winger at Roosters and Canberra.
Sydney Roosters 2005: Mostly on the wing scoring 9 tries in 24 games.
Sydney Roosters 2007: Played mostly centre scoring 14 tries in 19 games.
Canberra Raiders 2008: Played centre all season scoring 14 tries in 24 games.
2008 World Cup: Australia played wing for 4 of the 5 games scoring 4 tries.
Canberra Raiders 2009: Played centre all season scoring 10 tries in 22 games.
Canberra Raiders 2010: On the wing until last 4 games of the season 7 tries in 17 games.

Tbh mate can't really see many Wiganers being bothered about it in a jealous way. He's a good signing but Hicks is a loss so I think you probably come out just better than average.
Most Wigan fans that I've read are just making the standard dog jokes, elastic salary cap etc etc.
One thing though, why do you think Smith isn't really going for any specialist wingers? Thats 4 first team centres (wages wise I imagine) and just one specialist winger in Riley. I'm assuming Atkins will be shifted out onto the wing permanently, but will Bridge be used more in the halves? If so it seems a bit of a pity as I think he's quality at centre. |
