McGuire may as well have appealed it if he’s adamant he didn’t say it. Even if he fails and gets a couple of games on top it’s not really going to make a difference to this season Maybe he / the club are already planning his future and there was little point wasting time with an appeal.

Sad that it’s worked out this way, as I hear he’s very good behind the scenes and has a good coaching brain on him.

As a matter of interest could McGuire continue in a coaching capacity with the club even if he can't play ?

The official statement should be that McGuire has been dismissed.

If we agree to a pay-off deal, then that money will count against this season's Salary Cap.

There is bound to be an unofficial golden handshake cash payment for McGuire to sort out his
immediate future I suspect.

This, with respect, is the worst of all worlds in my opinion.

The good name of Warrington Wolves RLFC has been brought into national disrepute by this player's actions twice within 3 months. He was found guilty of the offences on both occasions, and he was certainly aware of the severe consequences at the time of the second offence. I would have more tolerance if he settled matters physically with Charnley on the field than say things about his children.

Following the verdict, he needs to be dismissed immediately and for him to be disassociated with our club forthwith. I fear to the outside world looking on we look weak and vacillating. Powell coming out and having to say "It's with the CEO and agent" is a terrible look. We should have a statement from the CEO that kills this issue right away and shelters Powell and the performance team from these questions especially in a pre-match press conference. If Maguire had any grain of honour he would have left by his own accord already. This speaks volumes to the man's character.

If O’Donnell gets less than 10 games for that tackle there is something very wrong. It was absolutely awful.

I see the latest results from the Court of Arbitrary Decisions in Sport have arrived. Josh Griffin gets 7 matches. I reckon that makes the last game he misses Wigan but he will be available for Wire the week after. Just saying!
