He was a great player for us, and his try scoring record, especially between 2011 & 2014 was fantastic.

I think it's the right decision however, he's likely to be one of our better earners and we are crying out for some real quality in the right centre position.

I hope both Joel & the club part on the best of terms.

Got to admit I'm very concerned that Wheeler hasn't been mentioned by the club yet. If he gets a new contract there's something seriously wrong.

Well it's OK saying 'x' is on big money so we have some more to spend, but I suspect that's already gone on Lineham, Hughes etc etc and I really don't see any decent players left and who'd want to move to us.

Maybe the Eastmond rumour is true and he'll become our centre? Interesting to see who we bring in one maybe 2 more signings? 6 in? Thought we had only signed Lineham, gidley, Hughes and Dodds? Sandow is already on the books so who are the other 2 players coming in?

Feel a bit sorry for Joel, however this season has shown that perhaps his best years are behind him. Good luck to him though, he provided Wires with some truly special moments over the years.

Arguably our biggest earner is leaving in Monaghan. So a big chunk there for one more signing?

Who would we be happy with? Eastmond would be great if the rumours are true.

We are now really lacking a centre and a starting high profile prop to start with Hill or an exciting one to come from the bench with Dodds starting with Hill.

Eastmond, although a halfback in his RL past, has played centre in Union - how similar are those positions between the two codes, I honestly couldn't tell you what a centre in Union is if Eastmond is one but Sam Burgess is too?

If he can adapt to centre in RL easily then I'd absolutely welcome him as a signing. The profile of player this sport needs back!

I'm sad Joel is leaving on the back of the season he (and the team) has had. Fantastic player with a phenomenal scoring record, played the gam in a terrific spirit, nothing but best wishes from me. Oh, should also mention that under arm pass thing from the warm up!
As for G O'B always hoped he would push on...hopefully he still will, just not against us please.

Assuming we have the cap space it has to be a centre and another prop coming in. Can't see us going for Westerman, if he does leave Leeds is more likely or the happy band at Salford.
