These would suggest he's way behind Riddell, except for missed tackles, errors made and penalties conceded that is.

As I said it's a major blow to Wigan Higham missing the semi final.

I told you when he signed for you, Clarke is far better and you should have used the Clarke / Monaghan combination.

Look at at his errors, penalties and missed tackles.

If you look at his stats for this year he's better than Riddell for carries, tackles, off loads, attacking kicks, tackle busts and marker tackes, tries and try assists.

I don't bag god players, but Higham is average at best.

Did we get the better of the deal Gleeson for Mathers? yes we did, but I hope Mathers does well for you he is a smashing lad but it didn't work for him at Wigan.

No-one is disputing Higham underperformed at Wigan, like Mathers. But at Warrington, coming off the bench he looks like the player that was at Saints.

I seem to remember Mickey Higham being the South Stand's favourite after Fielden's debut in 2006 - when Wigan beat Warrington and Higham was the heartbeat of everything good about Wigan that day.

In my personal opinion, he hasn't done too much wrong since then. He suffers from 'importance sydrome', in that his position is one of, if not, [ithe[/i most important in the game (cue Phil Clarke jibes) and if you don't turn water into wine from that position, you are an easy scapegoat when times are hard.

See Clarke, Briers, even Brett Kimmorley at times during his career.

Think that is a cracking post. Both players didn't really perform for Wigan (though Higham was pretty damn good in the play offs last year & earnt a GB call up), but have found a new lease of life with us & the coaching of Tony Smith.

If we could undo the deal and return Gleeson to the Wire and Richie back to the JJB I would say absolutely NO.

If they think they got a good deal and so did we then at the end of the day were both happy.

great post totally agree...when wigan came to the h&j for there annual beating i did`nt see gleeson do much...best hundred grand we`ve ever had....
