They have been very impressive apart from a couple of games near the start of the season, especially the Widnes hammering. Catalans, hull and us have easily played the best rugby so far this season. Fair play to Widnes at the start of the season and wakefields recent resurgence they have both played some very good rugby.

I though the top 4 was set a few weeks ago, I have no idea what has happened to Wigan, I mean I could understand if they had a lot of injuries or something, strange that nobody has mentioned anything like that as a possible reason for them losing a few games recently. Saints haven't been anywhere near good enough this season to be 2 points behind the top 3, but they just aren't going to go away are they.

The competency of officiating is going rapidly down hill , almost as quickly as the officials are raising their profiles. The sport is losing out, watching live games on tv is becoming a chore to watch and listen. Stuart Cunmmings is such a bottom wipe, add to him the others and its becoming a great big turn off. I get you can turn off the sound but that's not the point.

Impartiality and straight talking will do the trick, instead of the drivel spouted and bottom licking.

Any way Thaler fell for the tactic of moving waaaaay off the mark and the little dives to get penalties. The touch judge and Thaler didn't spot Manfredi throwing the ball away when being pushed to the line.

Bateman got away with an incident as the whistle had gone, otherwise he would be in trouble. S Tomkins ensuring that he lies all over the tackling player to get a penalty.

On the other hand Wigan have become less aggressive in their tackling recently still hard but less aggression and will to hurt people.

Moving off the mark is a joke now. Just do what the Aussies do and stop he play the ball and make them move back to where the tackle was made. This slows the play te ball down and negates any advantage they wanted to make. You see hardly any of it in the NRL.

The other one is the diving and purposeful "trapping" of the tackled player to milk a penalty. Just penalise the tackled player doing it and it will disappear completely within a couple of weeks.


As for last night then thankfully Wigan won as nobody putting in a performance like Thaler did deserves to be on a losing side.

Tautai is a complete joke for moving off teh mark, he was shameless in the first half,

Sarginson is the worst. At one point he got tackled on the 20m line at the railway end of the ground and played the ball on the white line in the middle of Wheldon Road.
