Re the conspiracy theorists. This is probably the draw the RFL wanted. One Mega semi final, with the games 2 most successful teams from the last handfull of years, and the other semi has a club with with good travelling support. Makes sense.

Yes, we have to beat a Super League team who have beaten us almost as often as we've beaten them. It's a one-off game that either team could win.

Aye its the best semi draw we could get but like others are saying remember how the Pies blew in a few years back, its still going to be a tough game and one they that will be able to focus on more as the playoffs look unlikely for them.

While the RL might consider a French venue I don't think they's go through with it. 8th August on a Sunday afternoon anywhere in the South of France it's going to be over 30 degrees. Getting there and getting a couple of days accomodation in the middle of the French holiday season would also be a major challenge. Forget about Paris - no point asking both teams to travel a long way to a city with zero interest in RL.

Harlequins might be a good bet: market the event to the locals, too.

It won't be at The Stoop. Absolutely pointless playing it there. It will be a "home" game for us in Widnes or Leigh, a "home" game for them in Barcelona, or in Paris.

Rather Widnes than Leigh went Leighs ground in the friendly, not that good prefer the chemics.

It wasn't bad last year. I got back at about 6.30 so still saw The Bronx and Rise Against.
