| Wrench is improving rapidly, game on game and is looking really exciting.
And as for exciting ..... get Mamo signed.

From the interview it sounds like his future is all tied up & has been for a while.
Suspect that it's not with us if that's the case, as haven't we recently announced contract renewals for the likes of Walker, so why wouldn't Mamo's be announced too?

| Good all round performance but we should have been out of sight after the 1st 40 mins.
We let them back in a little in the 3rd quarter and if it had been a full strength Wigan team they could have made us pay.
Big rap for Coops and Hill.
Good to win by that score but some things to work on.

I don't think they once mentioned King or Widdop which is fair enough because they weren't playing. However, they might have mentioned French, Hardaker, Field once or twice.

| Well I assume over on Redvee they are still convinced Hill “is a plodder”! Great performance from both senior props, thought Matt Davis put in a shift as well…actually can’t think of anyone who didn’t play well…apart from Akouala who was invisible…

| Everyone played well, great team performance and a great win in a very poorly refereed match. The commitment to defence was excellent.

it must really suck to be a wigan fan right now.
They are absolute pony.
We put them away with a quirky whatsapp group, and a few lads from the under 21's.

Sorry matey, it’s my poor attempt at humour, reflecting my view of Sita’s effectiveness through a prism of irony (I think). Or to put it another way, no he didn’t play and I was trying to take the pee.

No doubt. I agree that sita signing has been one of the worst signings that we have made in the last decade. He is up there with asotasi in regards to defence and punching a hole in attack.
I dont think i was let down so much from watching a best of youtube video to the performance and effectiveness that he has produced on the pitch.
Apologies for missing the irony of the post. Tbh. I was late to the party last night. I thought the match was tonight until someone kindly pointed it out too me.

| Funny that the media won't say it too loudly (it's been mentioned in the background) but we've now kept Saints tryless on their own ground for the first time in decades, and put forty past (an admittedly naff) Wigan at their gaff, AND handed Les Cats a defeat over the Channel.
But if you watched last night, you'd have just thought someone had ran over the sky team's pets. They really don't like us, do they!? Credit comes begrudgingly from them all.
SIDE NOTE: Referee tried everything to keep them in the game, I'm getting so fed up of them shouting at offside players, or in one instance last night, telling them to stop crawling on the ground before playing the ball - just penalise it and it'll soon stop!

| Perhaps there should be a video appeal option when games are on tv, as in cricket . That would give a measure of justifiably questioning the ref without a resulting back chat penalty.

| Thinking over last nights game and after watching the highlights, I would have to say that barring a short period at the start of the second half Wigan were pretty shocking. Holes in the defence ( Wrench try), throwing the ball over your head in desperation, short kick offs when the game was long, long gone, heads going down in the last quarter. There was some good attacking play that Lam could build on but the rest was awful. I think the big take out for the team is the level of confidence it should provide, particularly for younger players like Wrench who was given the space to grow into the role at SL level. It's refreshing to see that at last Wire can introduce its academy products when injuries come knocking and their quality is good enough to seamlessly fit into the team and get us the win. Other than that though I think we need to guard against complacency and over-confidence and treat the Wigan game as a one off.

Say what you like about Ray French and Alex Murphy (and many do), they gave everyone a fair crack of the whip, when they did the job.
Now, let me see
Terry O'Connor
Barrie McDermott
Phil Clarke
and presented by Brian "leaning over" Carney
Is anyone else spotting a trend?

Leaning over? Don't get that reference!
Is the trend they all played for Wigan? Wasn't aware BMcD did!
I'm still contemplating bleaching my eyes after seeing Phil Clarke's outfit during the England game. What the hell was that about?! Can't we just have more Jenna Brooks?

They missed the one that's sought the lofty sanctuary of Jon Wells' head.

My favourite sound bite was Phil Clarke heaping praise on the perfect short drop out executed by Hastings. Yes, it was the perfect kick, Phil, for Mamo to catch and jog the 11 meters to the line, unopposed.

Let us hope so. At 19 he's plenty of time to develop his skill set, and last night showed there's already a lot of ability to work with.
