I have a fear we’ll be repeating these mistakes still in August and October. We’re not learning. We got suckered into a stupid niggly game tonight where it was totally unnecessary. We need to learn to play around all that nonsense. So many hands in players faces and necks and all over the ball and that clown in the middle let it slide, so you can kind of understand the players’ annoyance. But class teams, which we aspire to be, rise above it and carry on. Why are we still letting mediocre niggle jobs back into games?

The game was always comfortablyin our grasp. Even after inviting KR back into the game...but hopefully we'll work in that area now.

Got complacent at 22-0 up, assumed the game was won and stopped respecting possession. I don't buy the idea that they were tired after all of the defending in the first half. We been having these 20 minute slumps during games all season and some of those tries conceded tonight were just pathetic.

If we're going to beat a team like saints in a final this year it will be with the determination in defence we saw in the first half. But there is no point defending like that for 60 minutes if you're then going to defend like a collective turnstyle for 20.

Because it’s a poor system and he’s a very overrated player. He comes up with a try and that means he’s played well apparently. The commentators can’t get their heads out of his backside and clearly the ‘expert’ panel can’t. He’s a good player but he’s extremely inconsistent and when it gets tough he’s nowhere to be seen. Even Ratchford is 5th and he’s been poor, likewise Shaul in 10th. Both should be nowhere near there. Mata’utia getting two points when we trounced Cas at their place is another example of it being laughable.
