Again, another game where it was pointless having touch judges, either not used or useless.

For what? You can't go to the video ref for a forward pass.

Ganson looked up with the play,but still kept looking over to the touch judge who was yards behind,,very strange....like some one said sympathy call......

He was his usual "not fit for purpose" today but you won and the rest is history enjoy it!!

I once did a bit of refereing, i was told that if a player loses control of the ball because of injury it was a scrum to the team that had possesion. Now that was a few years ago so it might have changed but ganson did get it wrong saying tackle complete before he lost control, however if the rule stillexist that i mentioned warrington should have had head and feed at the scrum. Ganson did make a few balls up though (from a warrington view) allowing the Tomkins try from a forward pass and refering to the video ref after blowing for a knock on.

Blowing his whistle then going to the video ref to see if a "try" was scored after he had blown (and stopped play) should be enough to get him demoted to amateur RL for a month. Because it's Ganson he'll get away with it. A truly unforgivable error on a rugby pitch by a ref. The Amos Roberts "knock forward" was about the only thing he didn't refer to the video ref. If he had it would have been obvuious the ball went forward 5 yards. Again, a major error.

How much longer will players and spectators have to suffer this arrogent T@ doing what he likes on the field without any comeback?

Ganson had a good game on the whole - although the Tomkins try was a mile forward - although the vid ref can't look at that Ganson should have got it.

if you feel so strong about it why not give stuart cummings a call , i am sure he would love to hear from budding referees like yourself!!

Just watched the game back and that decision where they Ganson went to the video ref after already blowing the whistle was a joke. Its a good job Chris Bridge played on after the whistle, otherwise the try would have been given.

The way he spoke to the players when they rightly questioned how he could do something so ridiculous was so arrogant.

Look Steve, we all know you don't like dissent on the pitch, but really you will have to accept that if you make huge howlers week after week, year after year, then somebody, somewhere might comment on it.

Yes he can!! He could rule it as a knock on!! As the vid ref did against Leeds in the airport derby at Bradford!!

The pass from King to Clarke? against KR in the quarter final was more forward. Thought the only mistake that the ref made was sending one try decision to the VR when he had already blown his whistle.

If we had lost that match it would have been because of Rau stupidly putting reefing the ball out on there 40m line on the 5th tackle when we were controlling the game at 32-14

We also got away with a Riley knock.

There were a couple baffling decisions from a Wigan perspective, especially the Phelps "Knock On" where the ball never left his hands or touched the floor.

However, you play with what you're given, and overall Warrington were the better team.

As a neutral I think phelps loses the ball!! But I also think moz could have gone to the bin for pulling carmont back!!

Two decisions that got to me.

The Richards video ref no try where Moz held Carmont back. The touch judge had already given Richards in touch so he and Ganson knew that a try hadn't been scored. Ganson went to the video ref to see if it was wigan penalty, not to see if it was a try. Is he allowed to do that?

And then to go to the screen to adjudicate on what happened AFTER he had blown the whistle to stop play was an abysmal decision. Players are supposed to play to the whistle - it seems with Ganson they need to carry on after the whistle just in case he changes his mind!

If posts about refs bore you then why do you read them when its clearly got a refs name and the words could have cost us in the title ? I don`t open a thread where i know from the title it won`t interest me, maybe you should give it a whirl.

If you think the try that Steve Ganson awarded to Sam Tonkins didn`t come from a huge mistake by the ref then you really do need to see an optician.

Would you be saying the same thing if we had been leading 10-8 with a minute to go and Ganson let that Tomkins try stand from a forward pass that was at least 5 yards forward where the ref was stood right in line with the play and had the 20 metre line as a guide as well ? ....... Not a chance

Cant believe that people on here are moaning about a ref after we had won the game!

We got 2 big decisions of Ganson that were evidently wrong.
1/ riley knock-on,wether he was injured or not,aknock-on is still a knock-on.
2/Morley should have got 10 mins for a professional foul,there is also an argument for a penalty try to be awarded from that incident.
