Have read from a very reliable source that Maguire is considering turning down Gold Coast because he doesn’t want to leave Sydney, nor does his wife, so unlikely he would be at Warrington if that’s to be believed.

Is Barrett a genuine contender, he’s had a great year at Manly, can’t imagine he would want to leave NRL for super league it’s not like he’s struggling?

I wonder how many coaches from around the globe that are currently unemployed or under utilised that will be rubbing their hands together and thinking "Top Job going at Warrington, I will have a piece of that"? I wonder if any have had a word in KFs shell like yet?

Don't be under any illusions that we've rocked up in Oz, hopped off a plane and are starting our search. Ignore any talk of coming back with a long list for the board too. We will already have a shortlist of interested candidates and probably some who are tentative and who need some persuasive chat.

Choosing the right coach is a hard task. Don't be surprised if we don't get it right first time. Wouldn't mind betting that this time next year we're on our 2nd /3rd successor to TS.

If it's Toovey, I give up for good.

So is going to Australia a smoke screen, they then come back and say yes we signed Toovey, may aswell give Agar the job as give it him. But while they over there they best check that Akauola is still coming since his friend as decided to leave.

Last I read was he was happy to stay here as he still had a year on his contract,not sure how that will be affected with the new coach.

Genuinely have no idea what he's been up to (don't really follow the NRL) where is he and what has he done to warrant the job? Especially as favourite of a couple on here.

Earning big raps as the assistant at the Broncos under WB. And spent a lot of time in the UK so would settle quite quickly.

Basically took Keighley up to the Championship in his first season then went to Australia to coach Northern Pride in the Queensland Cup. During his two seasons at the Pride, he won won back-to-back minor premierships. Then he joined North Queensland Cowboys as assistant coach and they won the Grand Final in 2015. Now Bennett's right hand man at the Broncos.

He's probably the highest regarded young coach in the game.

Was also assistant coach at St George in 2016 and coached Illawarra Cutters to NSW Cup (tier below NRL) which they won.
