I think Thursdays game is our biggest since Wembley 2009.

We will be without Chris Sandow, Ben W & C, Dodds & Bailey. With question marks over the fitness of Gidley. The great teams of Saints, Wigan and Leeds always find that extra 5% that helps them overcome adversity & injuries & win trophies. To be considered amongst the great teams we have got to find that elusive extra 5%. In his post match comments from the Hull game Tony Smith said that prior to the game he told the team that attitude and desire would win the game and he was spot on. We now need to display that attitude and desire and overcome Saints because its that extra 5% that you can't train in or buy that wins games.

Well said FB. Our biggest enemy is thinking we have won a game & too often we let opponents snatch the result.
Saints are one of the best final whistle winning teams around.

We have the better team
We have the better players
We are at home with over 10k roaring us on
We have scored more than anybody else this year and conceded fewer
We are favourites with the bookies (I guess)

... and yet, it comes down to 80 minutes when either team could easily win it.

This, I think we are the better team but I've learnt to never write off the stains and only 1 can win it. I'm sure we are confident but saints will be as well.

While we're on the the rumour mill...British prop signed for next season. So likely Dodds to take up his option, Cox looks to be on his way out?...and/or Bailey.

What a shame if true. Ratch and Patton were good in the halves against Hull.

I think he's implying he knows something the rest of us don't and that Dodds has the option to stay an extra year. Not saying you're wrong RD but I don't recall an option for a 2nd year being reported when he signed and can't find anything about this anywhere on the internets.

I hope you're right though, he looked better than anyone in our team at bringing a player down in the short time he actually turned out for us and if he's good to go I say give him the chance to show some more

Don't think so. Patton was good against Hull but if we're honest FC had a poor game in attack so the defensive workload was not great. Saints will be far more dangerous. TS made the mistake after we beat Saints away in the last play-off eliminator in 2012 of keeping Mike Cooper in the side for the final. This was on the basis that he had a one-off storming game against the Saints that night, and he failed to play to the same standard in the GF ( and I'm a Cooper fan, BTW ). Play your best players when fit, and Gidley is one of our best. There will be a huge sigh of relief from Saints fans if he's not in our starting 13.

Same team as last week. Apart from drop Smith for Gids. Gids coming off the bench and pushing Ratch up to 9.

I never said Dodds had an option when he signed. I said he looks likely to take up his (or a or an)option to stay another 12 months that I have heard he is rumoured to have, if, when or why that was discussed or arranged I have no idea.
....and another prop rumoured to be announced. So if the prop rumour is true, then I can guess Bailey or Cox will make way because the rumour say Dodds stays.
Not heard about extensions for either for either Bailey or Cox...I would think if there was going to be, Bailey could be favourite. My guess not rumour.
