Reading the backstory in the NRL, Jackson Hastings sounds like a total utter nightmare.

He's only 22 and already been released by 2 clubs because of 'falling out with senior players'.

At Manly it seems like they had issues with him all through the pre season and tried to manage his attitude and then once the season started it all boiled over and the Manly squad wanted him out.

Now apparently his reputation is too toxic so no NRL club would go near him. I'm surprised there were a few SL clubs chasing him...is he an elite, once in a generation, Thurston-style talent who just happens to have attitude issues?

Or is he just one of many half-decent players coming through the ranks in Aus and clubs have said, nah, we can easily get the same or better standard as him, but without the baggage...

I does sound bizarre, but it also looks to be happening. We will not save on his salary as he will remain on our books, but we will save on his match pay. It's looking as though somebody wanted him away from the club.

Hopefully we will get a loan from somewhere else to make up the numbers, its not as though we have a surfeit of pack men atm.

I think the underlying reason is that it's in the interests of SL to have Leeds remain in it for 2019.
They are arguably the biggest club in SL in terms of income, fans, SL history and self investment.

It's unfair to put something so big on Crosby, we should be sending them someone like Hill surely. Can't take risks with the future of the game, especially in a year where England is hosting the RU World Cup and it poses an existential threat to RL.

Leeds will need far more than Crosby to help them out. He's turned out to be an injury prone, lethargic very pedestrian journeyman.
