Well that solves our problem of having too many props, and gives us availability for an additional quota player too.
Thanks.

Perhaps Big Sam has realised that nice summers in Britain are very rare.

There have been recent posts regarding Mikaele`s fitness/durability (I agree btw) and I don`t think we can play him and Kasiano at the same time.
Lots of go forward but major issues with their defensive capability, unless they played for short durations.
Think we could play one of them in the 17 man squad, but not both.

This is a really good point. Big is not always beautiful. I would not be dismayed if we lost one.

| I'd be really disappointed if kasiano doesn't come over, I really rate him. More alarm bells if new signings are pulling out before even getting here.

| Yeah i'd be disappointed if he didn't come to us, even if we just had him for 1 year. Mikaele did have an ankle injury towards the back end of the season which would have affected him. But like i've said previously, what we saw from Mikaele is what we're gonna get from him, he's at about the level of fitness he's always been at. I'd keep bullock as he does a good solid job for us. But i do find it odd that even after we signed, Vaughn, Mikaele, Kasiano and McGuire, we were still trying to keep hold of Mulhern. I think we are spot on for forwards....minus Philbin. But we definately shouldn't rotate Vaughn and Dudson for Mikaele and Kasiano at the same time. Kasiano and Vaughn starting with Dudson and Mikaele off the bench would be better. But who knows how it's gonna go.

| re. Sam Kasiano (Translated)
Sam Kasiano announced his departure from the Catalan Dragons several months ago to join Warrington. He even signed a two-year contract with the Wolves but according to our information, the international pillar would finally like to stay in France. It is with this goal in mind that he would have been in contact with Elite 1 clubs to commit to the 2022-2023 season. At this point, nothing would have been signed and Sam Kasiano is still a Warrington Wolves player for 2023 and 2024. But things could still change in the coming days.

| Nice one smiffy, I really hope we get to see him in our squad and he doesn't leave before he's even got here.
Speaking of which, do we know when the likes of Vaughn & McGuire will be arriving??

Better than Ratchford (Slightly), but offered nothing in attack from the games that I saw him play last year, both for our Reserves(Playing against kids) and for our 1st team.

| What if ratchford has been given the 7 shirt? That would indicate no more new signings.
I'm going to view minikin as a new signing, harsh to judge him on last season after a bad injury and then returning to a very poor side that was struggling in all areas of the game.

I think that he played 7 first team games, all starting at right wing.

He played centre for both Castleford and Hull KR, prior to signing for Wire, so he has experience with the role.

not uncommon, you've seen a few catalans players renege on contracts in england, i think semisoni langi most recently did an about turn on a wakey contract.

More chance of signing Ted Hastings.
They'll be a host of NRL clubs after his signature.

| Ratchford has 4, Harrison has the 8 shirt which I find a little baffling, he's not a prop in my eyes, certainly not a starting one with the others we have. 7 shirt is not allocated.
The other one that caught my eye is longstaff given 33 which is the last number, doesn't appear to have a future with us. Bullock is below Vaughan, philbin, kasiano, dudson, mikaele and Harrison. I know that doesn't mean too much to be fair and he could well have asked for that shirt.

| I can't say i'm thrilled with our pack for next season . Our 4 starting props could be spending more time at the disciplinary than time on the pitch. Our spare props are basically rejects from other clubs .
And the club wants me to renew my season ticket ?

On paper the pack is brilliant IMO. Massive improvement on every pack since carvell left us.

| A few signs in there. Ratchford being the one that jumps out. Think that puts the pin in the talk of a centre being recruited in the short term.
But also, it looks like the Harrison to back row project is over, by him being awarded the 8. Mikaele and Bullock appear to be back up rather that part of the first choice plan. The 7 being vacant all but confirms that someone is on the way. And Longstaff is in the naughty step way down the list.

| Ratchford at 4 would suggest no new centre signing, doesn’t surprise me given the lack of options open to us, but I don’t think we’re going to win anything with ‘strike’ centres of Ratchford and Mata’utia.
Harrison at 8 is a strange one, Powell talks him up A LOT, but I don’t see him as a starting prop next year, but a handy player to have on the bench, capable of playing prop, back row or loose.
Most pleasing thing is squad numbers 22 to 33, home grown as they should be.

| Just wondering how long before the number 7 is going to be announced, saw a post on Guardian website that Drinkwater deal was done 10 days ago, well it’s near on 3 weeks or so now.
