Even up to a couple of weeks ago, Skybet were offering 10/1 that Westwood would secure one of the two 'dream team' second-row spots!

Unbelievably, he was the NINTH favourite for this Market behind the likes of Hoffman, J Tomkins, Wilkin, Galea and - wait for it - Weller Hauraki, Joe Westerman and Danny Tickle!

The 10/1 price was one of the best bets I have ever seen (he should be 5/4) and I (and many others who I know) have backed him accordingly.

Very intresting stat, and to think somebody made a comment on Totalrl.com about Morley's performance on Friday night as somebody who was "shot" at this level.

Players might still find him intimidating but i never see him when there's a 'blow up' these days. When players are pushing and shoving around i'd expect to see him in the middle making his presence felt, it just doesn't happen anymore. similarly in years gone by Moz would have put a big hit on an opposing forward soon after any incident. That just doesn't happen anymore. He seems to have changed his game completely, no more Mr hardman penalty machine.

TBH it must be any one of Stuart Fielden, Sean O'loughlin, Jeff Lima, Ryan Hoffman, Joel Tomkins, or any other of the wigan forwards, HAS to be.

Reasons being:

Westwood- Bully
Solomona- Overweight and Overseas(worse than Jeff Lima)
Morley - Past it
Carvell - Old and overweight
Ben Harrison - he's not O'loughlin
Michael Monaghan - he doesn't have a world cup and four nations winners medal, and he isnt NZ hooker

these are the reasons why each of the wigan pack are better forwards than our own.

This is what makes our pack/team so good, no-one plays takes all the praise. They all do their part for their team, all cogs in the well oiled machine- that Eddie refered to us as. Yes, definitely Skybet - though the market is no longer available.

They had a fantastic amount of 'Player Special' markets at the beginning of the season, the 'Dream Team' being one of them.

Usually they are removed when the season kicks off, but this year they left most of the markets up a bit longer and Westwood could still be backed at 10-1 until the night of the Wakefield game.

It has to have been a 'rick', because he was trading at just 8-1 for Man of Steel (third favourite behind Roby and Tomkins).

Missed out there then as unless he gets injured he will make the dream team for sure.

The reason why you never see him at a "blow up" is because the opposition players make sure that the "blow up" occurs when Mr Morley is

1. having his well earned breather just after half time after putting in a full 40 mins first half stint and a little 10 minute cameo straight after
2. 70 yards away on the other side of the pitch

And amazingly, in the event of explanation number 2 happening, every time Mr Morley arrives on the scene the fracas it stops just before he gets there. If you lip read carefully you will see the opposition players saying things along the lines of " Just a little misunderstanding Mr Morley, nothing for you get involved in here "

He's not changed his game, its just that no one will play with him anymore

IMO Roby is the best hooker in super league!

Warrington have a good few forwards on excellent form at the moment. Carvell, Wood, Morley, but yes Westwood is probably the pick of them. He always was a terrific player, so much work in defence, important offloads etc a quality player.
