On a serious note, he probably does have attributes to replace Briers, including an excellent kicking game. At 22, Briers wasn't the class act he went on to become. Regarding Ratchford playing centre:

1) Simms moved him there, this time.
2) We need all our best players on the pitch, allowing us to accommodate, Ratch, Smith and Holdsworth.
3) He looks pretty damn good at centre.

However I'm just lying about all that, you don't really want him, he wouldn't male the first team.

Apparently Stef Ratchford and Tony P of Saints are both Wire bound for next season.

The Puletua bit is complete speculation. Warrington have made him an offer but he's either going home because of family reasons or staying at Saints for 2 more years. He's undecided as of yet depending on if he can get the off the field situation sorted.

I think he is the big sight for next year. We need a reliable young halfback. Doesn't have to be Benji, look at saints buying a fullback to play halfback (maniacs). We also need big Tony P. Watching him at Millennium I knew we needed to sign him up. Got Saints a point almost single handedly.

I like him and would be happy if we signed him. I don't personally believe he has the same ability as Briers did at a similar age, but he might just have a better mental approach than Briers did when he was 22. I would have thought Briers (current version) would be a terrific mentor for any young halfback.

Salford don't seem to rate him as a defender, but sometimes the only way to improve that is to get him involved.

And I at no point during the Eastmond negotiations heard anything other than what was speculated and so did not comment, only gave my opinions on what I would like.

I heard the Puletua news from somebody I know at the club, it's not exactly a secret within the club.

The news that Graham has signed for the bulldogs I heard from the same person within the past week and that is all I have officially heard on Graham.

The whole Eastmond and Graham situation that somebody brought up was news in the press. I didn't hear anything about either of these two directly from the club apart from the recent Graham news. That is why I said don't believe everything you hear in the press.
