Grix at 6 for me, he's had a few games there in the past and looked good. Not a fan of Vinnie in the halves, as you need some sort of kicking game, something Vinnie doesn't have. Maybe another possibilty, hasn't Solomona played at 6 a few times for Wakefield or Bradford?

From an outsiders point of view the last thing i'd do would be to put Monaghan back in the halfs. He was outstanding again last night and has got to be the best hooker in the competition.

His kicking game from dummy half was sublime and he looked a threat everytime he had the ball in his hands.

I couldn't really comment on who should play 6 but from watching Grix he can't be a bad option. He's always looked a class act to me when he's been able to get himself on the field.

The high tackle Briers took from Coley when he got injured was a disgrace. Will it get referred?, don't hold your breath.

How short are some people memories? Monas (best hooker in SL) should only be moved back into the halves if there are absolutely no other alternatives. Six months or so ago we won the cup with Monas winning the Lance Todd trophy at hooker and Vinnie at standoff. I suspect TS may go down the same route again though I would prefer to see Grix there. However if Bridge is also missing Grix may be better employed at centre.

If Briers & Bridge are out for a week or two and Hicks is ready, it could be worth dropping King back into the centre with Riley on his outside as Centre is his preferred position. Put Hicks on the outside of Atkins and use Monas at nine with Grix/V. Anderson at 6 and of course Myler at 7.

The main aim will be not to change the frame of the team. Therefore make the fewest possible changes. Briers is out then use Grix. If Bridge is out then use Atkins and King at Centre with Riley and Hicks/Penny. Use Anderson only as a last resort.

If Clarke was fit I'd prefer to see him at 6, in open play he can read the game well, also has a decent kicking game.

If not I'd go for Grix.

It's going to be tough without Briers but it's a chance for Myler to really stand up and control things.

Clarke for me. Excellent passing game and decent kicking game too.

Funnily enough I thought on Saturday that if he been available he would have been the one to settle the team and keep the defensive shape when the team was put under pressure.

It's a good job we've got the strongest Wire squad in years. As everybody knows we've got more than enough cover and competition for positions, thats what so great about the Warrington side these days. Will Briers be able to get into the squad when he's back fit...? you do wonder ?

It is a great looking squad, and as a team you look fearsome. All I could see (in the first half at least) every time you attacked our line was more Wolves players in good positions for backing up a break, and some tight defence.
