| Best centres.
Phil Blake, Jiffy, Jamie Lyons, Chris Bridge to a lesser extent.
I know....all halves!

| No comparison with King or Atkins there. The first 3 were world class.
I don't think putting Toby King and Atkins in the same sentence as Davies and Blake advances the discussion.

Proberbly a long term investment rather than a sudden change. Scratched my head a bit with this one to be fair, don't think he's that good myself.

While the least you refer was more successful than any of them that played for Wire put together.

We were discussing individual talent, not how successful the team was that contained them though.

The strength of out glory period was largely on the back of the prolific scoring from Hicks and Joel.

Hang on this is going in a weird direction. We were discussing Toby King, you widened the discussion to Blake and Davies as centres, now you are taking about wingers?
It seems to me quite obvious you believe everyone agrees Toby King is a top class centre, I am yet to reach that view, and you believe I am in a minority of one. No problem I can live with that.

I think he's better at centre myself.

| I'm with Wires71 - yet to convince me he's going to go on to be a very classy centre but has potential certainly. Never quite got the Toby King love-in ever since his debut and outjumping Ryan Hall 3 times isn't going to win me over...yet. Hope he proves me wrong, under Price he's likely to.

| Sita being banned is no loss but I wasn't looking forward to seeing how big Price's nuggets were if he (rightfully) dropped Sita.

| jesus, he's been banned, again, i've not seen anything to be concerned by during matches but he keeps picking up these bans and reviews for little niggly . He's really not doing himself any favours. I've stuck up for him in the past but its getting difficult to now.

When you say scapegoat, could that also be interpreted to be "most underperforming player in the side"? Or do you think the vox pop of the forum is way off on Roberts?

I don't think its niggly poop, surely its just leading with the shoulder ??? I'm surprised he hasn't kopped more bans TBF.
I'm a bit of a Sita fan, as anyone that has the ability to make the runs he has made in the past and bust clean out of multiple tacklers gets my vote. I understand he doesnt do big minutes but with Hill and Cooper he doesnt have/need to.
hes' clearly green as the greenest grass which is odd for someone from the NRL.
I think he's got to step up a bit next year or im not sure he stays.
George King deserves the final spot though as he'll just keep taking it up without fuss, But thats why I prefer Sita, three props taking it without fuss isn't very interesting, and just leaves us with Philbin to give it plenty... I like Philbin....i think he'll score a worldy at Wembley...

I've just checked (which is a cos no-one at the rfl can spell his name) he's been done several times now for dangerous contact/twisting limbs n . Copped a couple of bans, and a few cautions.
As you say, he's green, and his poor nrl short cuts seem to appear more and more.

| Two or three players were limping about at the end of the game v. Cas.
Our squad would look very thin if we suddenly had to find three more players.
We desperately need to get more troops in next year. This season we have been relatively fortunate with injuries.

Looks like we are appealing Sita's ban.
www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/spo ... auola-ban/
Price confirming also that all players have trained (with the exception of Currie, Johnson and M Brown) and that he is refusing to rule Atkins out at this stage.

We have a very small squad this year and yes, we have been very fortunate (or the backroom staff have been doing an exceptional job). Obviously this time last year our guys had the weekend off but the following week, round 3 of the middle 8s, our injury list was;
Gidley
Evans
Clark
Currie
Westerman
Cooper
T King
Blythe
Livett
Pomeroy
Penny and Wilde had already been released
