After a long drive with the kids squabbling in the back of the car, that few seconds of piece and quiet after they get out and before the Mrs starts banging on the window because I have the house keys.

Buying camera gear. Not necessarily using it (though that's good too), just the buying and then handling it for the first time (bought a new Nikon P7000 today - not took a picture with it yet but hardly took my eyes or hands off it).
