| Quote ="langyReds*6"i think myler has to go personally, for his supporting play, danny maguires made most his career off it and maybe the best english half back that still plays the game sean long couldnt tackle! lockyer cant tackle! its not that they cant tackle its just that the auzzies are more adapt at running over our half backs than we run over theres because we have a better pack we think we should run over there pack. no take it out on there halfs and kill there attack whilst scoring tries! auzzies are only human! myler should be in the squad im a salford fan and ive seen him rip warrington apart himself as for micky higham we all no what he can do if he feels like turning up but it wont be won by the hooker!'"
The biggest myth ever, that McGuire is just a support player.
Myler will never ever be in the same class as Danny Mcguire

what complete nonsense Danny Mcguire would get a nose bleed trying to set up two dummy drop offs and a face ball. no creative skills whatsoever.
Rob Burrow is twice the player Mcguire is and never gets a sniff of International caps

why do you really think from the plethora of inventive, creative, quality passing and kicking stand offs we have in the game he ranks lower than Kevin Brown, Richard Horne, and Danny Mcguire and Leon Pryce?
deary me not so long ago Brown and pryce were playing on the Wings.....

Think you will find that Eddie led the briers for Britain campaign not England. he played against the Ausies with whales before and in that first half ripped them apart, and caused them problems in the second half

so to rephrase what you've implied, fielden was good enough, then not good enough & now he's good enough again!
perhaps you may reflect on the fact that myler was good enough, currently is felt to be not good enough, but at his age has just as much a chance of being good enough again in the future!
now what's your point?

He's supposed to be Storms new 6 next year. Whether thats down to him being a stand off or just Slater being there i'm not sur.
Either way though, Sam being at FB will mean he can get the ball when and where he wants it, and he's our best attacking threat.
Defensively, is widdop really going to be able to stop Hayne better than Sam? Sams tackling technique is second to none in that he just goes for the legs everytime. But anyone who plays at FB is on a hiding to nothing defensively, we may as well have our best attacking threat there.
Saying that though, the lack of options in the halves at this point in time kind of dictate Sam needs to be there.

Going for the legs everytime does not equate to "his tackling technique is second to none". In fact, you couldnt be any more wrong.

Your right, I'd rate both as equally poor.
No doubt they play well for their respective clubs occasionally but that's about it
