McGoldrick thinks he is a badass and cultivates his image in the press of being this dangerous rebel bad boy but he comes over a being a bit of a tool.

Ever since he has been here he has been pushing this bad boy image of himself in the tabloids...lots of players have tattoos but McGoldrick had to pose for photos in the papers showing off his tats and doing interviews where he calls himself the Rock Star of Rugby League and the "King of Cas" and says stuff like "II can't be tamed, even Terry Matterson can't control me" it's not respectful I bet Matterson hates it. I think he wants to be like Anthony Mundine but he wasn't a good enough player to have Mundine's profile in Sydney so he is trying to be a big time bad boy in a small town like Cas.

He spent however many thousands of pounds building a nightclub in his garden and went to the newspapers to get publicity for it bragging about how he's got a poledancing club in there and its Matterson's fault for banning the players for going out drinking. He's a decent player, probably around the same level as Nat Wood, who was a bit of a lad in his own way but he was funny and kept his ego in check, McGoldrick probably irritates most players in SL because he thinks he is big time.

Problem with guys like him is when they try to show how hard they are by riling someone who is actually hard like Peacock or Morley they are going to get their ass handed to them, like he did last night. McGoldrick just needs to calm his antics down because he is an ok player but he is turning himself into someone people make fun of.
