Truth is that neither are sufficiently good enough for us now.

In Brown's defense however he has played at the very top level in his career (World Cup Final as starting halfback in 2017) and has played for 340 Super League games, across 4 clubs, with 2 being top clubs.

I don't think Dec will achieve either of those.

It's a good shout and funny how it works in different ways for different players. Simon Grix was a terrific player for us, but whenever he got injured you would have folk on here saying 'send him to Widnes'.

On coming back, it would take a few months but people slowly came to appreciate him again.

It seemed to take a long time for our fans to appreciate Simon grix, Toby King seems to have suffered the same. We all see the game differently I suppose but the rugby brain and ability to test a defence was apparent in both early on for me. Don't get me wrong there are others I never saw anything from that others have rated.

Grixs (Wire) career ending injury is one of the biggest shames in my time watching the wire. He was probably one of our most important players in a team full of big names, potential captain material.

For me Grix was/is the last ball playing loose forward we have had.Seems we go with an extra prop these days.

I'm happy with a prop at 13. We've a spine of 1 6 7 9 11.

I like Matt Davis at 13, he brings speed and energy and hits above his size and weight. Great signing for us so far, not a world beater by any means but in the same mold as Philbin in he gives it his all

Agree with that. Every club needs a handful of players like Philbin and Davis. Great squad members.

I think Davis could develop into something special.

Well let's see who wants to rip Dec today for Austin's poor game.
Even for all of Patton's inability. I've never seen him as poor as Austin today.

Enough is enougb, we're playing with one hand tied behind our back all the time.

Plenty of others failed to perform, but Patton hasn't risen.above mediocrity for months.

Austin didn't have his best game yet created chances and scored.
His kicking was poor today



Patton is a liability. At one point on their line we outnumbered them and Patton threw a pass to nobody, then held his hands up as if to say why didn't you catch it. To put a prop on the wing, a centre to full back and the full back to half back says it all.

In what way are you and Dec related?

If Dec gets charged with biting it could be some time before he's seen again anyway.

From now we drop him from the first team and get Ratchford back into a position he can get his hand on the ball....that is all I harp on about.

Ratchford gets his hands on the ball though, plenty of times throughout the game, on both sides of the field.

Granted we need something different but I don't see ratchford in the Half's as being the answer.

Because having your best players in a position he can get his hands on the ball gives you the best chance of winning.
I said if that is at fullback...then so be it...but it clearly isn't and hadn't been.
Ratchford at halfback and he gets to call the play.

Whatever anyone thinks of Stefs abilities at SO, if we want to change things that is our only option and, frankly, I fail to see how it can weaken our attack any further.
