We did it last year and it worked a treat for the club. Plus the semi and the final are very close, this "forward planning" helps the club should we make it to the final this year.

Just another example of the backroom boys N girls doing their job well and keeping the club ticking over and as slick as possible.

Not only is it great business planning, but it will leave St Helens with a database of fans name and addresses many of whom are not season ticket holders. These fans can then be mailshot towards the end of the season with 2010 season ticket details etc.

Hopefully fine, if not a little behind the original schedule not least I'm sure because Taylor Wimpey had a bit of a major wabble there at one point (and we need them to buy Knowsley Road from the Saints!). But as Gateaux said, building work is now due to start about December time this year. We're apparently still aiming for 2011 but whether that will happen is anyone's guess!

Saints' new stadium is in a 3 way construction battle with Salford's ground, and the Sagrada la Familia to see who can finish first. My money is on the cathedral.

Having spoken to the club about exactly this I have been told that we are totally in the hands of the B.B.C. as to when cup fixtures are played.

This is because we are considered a minority sport to be fitted in somewhere between shove ha'penny finals and tiddlywinks championships.

It's a similar situation to that we have to endure with Sky as regard to league fixtures being changed at the whim of sports producers.

Could you see the R.F.U. allowing this situation to arise. I don't think so.

The answer to this lies at the door of the R.F.L. and not each individual club.

Well, most of what remained of the previous business on our site was recently demolished and some work has already been completed on a footpath which will be part of the approach. Does that put us in line with Salford's ground or ahead of it? No idea about the cathedral ....

If they are going to do anything to avoid the inevitable chaos that will follow our semi victory they need to do it pretty soon.
