Can any Wigan fan confirm the cost of tickets in the home seats behind the sticks?'"
£20 as far as I know
£21 or £22 in the east (dependant where in the stand)
£23 or £24 in the west (dependant where in the stand)
Totally agree that away fans should pay same price I.e. £20 in away stand.
As previously mentioned wigans prices for the past 12/13 years have been one of if not the most competitive and I have always applauded them for it.
However
What they should have done is increased the prices steadily I.e.£1 a year rather than 1 steep rise every 3 years or so.
"The big one" cannot be taken as the norm due to the promotional aspect and the prices have been around the £17 mark for the last 3 years.
I am not aware of any £10 dad/lad tickets as stated by previous poster however each season ticket holder at Wigan gets a"scrum down" ticket which allows them to buy for 1 game each year 6 extra tickets for £30 in any of the home stands.
I work in Warrington and have just used 1 of the 5 season tickets In my household to buy 6 tickets for the wolfs fans at work.

There's a ruling in the PL that clubs cannot charge more to away fans for the same view. I struggle to believe that home fans are charged some of the ridiculous prices for the sh*te views that I've been charged but apparently they must be.
The only reason I can think is that the extra £1 per ticket goes to Warrington. I think a few clubs operate something similar or maybe I'm getting confused with a percentage going to Wigan if bought from Wigan.

| Strange having such a big increase. However at least the facilities you get are worth it, compared to other grounds. It is £20 to get in the away end at Leeds if I remember correctly and that has no roof!

Canon Sharples Primary in Whelley were giving the dad/lad vouchers out to year 4 kids upwards. I think Ince CofE have also got a load they are giving to kids. It's only for the east stand though.

I think in RL we get 10% for ticket sold through the club.

10% of all sales for away tickets is retained by the selling club across the baord, it is a Super League agreement.
Wigan are following in the footsteps of Hull and are charging away supporters more for the equivalent seats than in the home end.
Disappointing from the Wigan club.

| Warrington charged £26.50 for an away fans' seat at the Wigan game last season, which makes £21 for a seat sound like a bargain to me.

| In the north stand, our premium stand.
Get one behind the sticks and it's considerably cheaper.
Hull fans brought the same argument last year.
Our argument though is equivalent view, not most expensive ticket

You still charged more to stand behind the posts last season than Wigan did to sit.

| and?
Half our stadium is standing, most people prefer standing.
£19 is a reasonable price, just because Wigan fans wanted to be close to their fans and bought seating tickets in the North doesn't make us expensive, they can sit in the East with the Wire fans at far less which is the 'equivalent' view.
You're missing the point.
Wire fans if they had to pay £30 to sit in your away stand wouldn't moan if the opposite stand paid the same price. The cost is not the issue as such for a lot, just the fact clubs see away fans as a cash cow.
Hull last year offered home fans the same view as away fans for considerably less, their beer and food also cheaper, do you understand now why fans getting peed off by that?

Are those cheaper tickets valid for the whole game though or are they the ones where they make you leave 15 minutes before the end? When I've been to Wigan you usually see them streaming out after the 65 minute mark.

Found out last night that this is not a general offer to anyone.
It's only for the children of certain schools that took part in the recent tag rugby event held at Central Park.
My lad came home with one earlier in the week and was going on about golden tickets? Basically his school could have organised a night out and done a behind the scenes per match and then parade round pitch half time but unfortunately no one at his school read the email and contacted the club to do it!
6/7 of the competing schools have taken up the offer and will be seen at half time.
Cannon sharples/ince st Williams etc are included in the ones who took part in the event and took up the offer.

| We shouldn't be getting into tit for tat, "Well you charge away fans £X so you have no right to complain" type arguments between ourselves.
It is not the ordinary paying supporters of any club that set the ticket prices. For what it's worth I do think the price of our North Stand is ridiculous, but it doesn't affect me because I choose not to sit there. I'm glad our ground - unlike Wigan's - has the option to sit or stand. These points are just personal thoughts though. They won't change anything.
If all supporters lobbied clubs for a fairer deal instead of squabbling with each other, then none of these descrepancies would be occurring.

I think I'm right in saying that a couple of years back one of the Bundesliga cubs put their cheapest prices up to 20 euros and fans from all clubs held a boycott that weekend. It would never happen here.

You'd pay £100 for a ticket if it'd guarantee a win? Would you be happy that everyone else in the stand were also charged the same price?
