Just to be clear, Kasiano was the player with the hip injury. Mikaele (the player whose aerobic fitness was being called into question) was, so far as we are aware, 'fit'.

Not sure but yeah a Red card for dissent,, it must have been pretty bad. Just don't get what he could have said seeing it was right after we scored. Hopefully just a 1 match ban so he's ready for leeds Fingers crossed.

I quite enjoyed it. Big packs have their flaws, the odd missed tackle the grain is to be expected. Outweighed by momentum and some heavy artillery for their defensive line.

One thing that concerned me early on was the defensive consistency on the right. There were times where Drinkwater, Matautia and Nicholson were all doing different things, but it seemed to improve as the game went on. That’s what these games are for though.

You can pick up a ban these days just for calling someone a Cotton-Headed Ninnymuggins.

I'd think 8 games for what McGuire allegedly said would be harsh. Steve Price only got a rap across the knuckles, but then I suppose he wasn't aiming that language at anyone.

I think it's a one game ban and a bit of cultural re-education needed.

Hope it wasn’t race-related. McGuire is already one of my favourite players after seeing him in pre-season and on Saturday.

I know all about his disciplinary record due to his in-your-face style, but I’m not aware of any previous issues over this type of thing. He seems like a really decent guy off the field.

Well, this is just very deflating, and we haven't yet started the SL season.

If it is anything to do with race, colour, national origin, sex, disability, religion, or sexual orientation he will be out for a long time.
