| Jason Clark is a legend according to the club's Twitter which is a tad embarrassing. Whilst I would in no way describe him as a legend, Mike Cooper is closer to it.

| Whether he's a legend or not (I tend to agree that he isn't btw) what I did enjoy about yesterday was Clark's well deserved send off. Makes a pleasant change waving someone off without the usual palaver and bad feeling it's how it should be.

With the way the other players joined-in with the fans` applause for Clark, he is obviously very much appreciated and respected by his colleagues.

So a Warrington legend is anyone who plays 75 games and sees out a 4 year contract with instantly forgettable performances.
I'm sure he is a great guy etc but "legend" never.

Neither of them are. Clarke was a steady, committed import and Cooper was a superb front rower but neither deserve the overused legend monicker.
I don't want, or need, to start another discussion on who is deserved of being called a.legend but safe to say no-one in the last 8 or 9 years qualifies.

| While we can all debate the levels that Jason Clark reached during his time with us, what would be interesting is a quiet hour in the pub with him to discuss his time with us in a honest and open way and see what his views on professionalism levels at Wire are truly like, in comparison with his time at South Sydney, where levels are, I assume, quite high.
If there's one thing that Clark did portray, it's that of a professional, dedicated sort of player. I wonder, once he has had time to reflect, what he really made of his time with us and the club as a whole?

He’s probably say C-19 was a massive disruption to his 4 years.
I think it wasn’t necessary a bad time for him and his family though.
They are a loving unit.
Only 2019 was kind to him on a playing professional level.

I actually meant more a simple comparison between us and South Sydney on a professional level, rather than Clark's own individual levels.

Not what I would class as a legend.
But who knows who writes for Wire Twitter.
Mind you I was not personally good enough to play 75 games for Wire ... so I will not be too critical.

| For the avoidance of doubt, I would like to say I do not think Jason Clark was as bad for us as some would have it.
However, during the Super League era, I would say there are probably only two players on whom I'd bestow legendary status - Lee Briers and Ben Westwood. Just short of that status I'd have Morley, both Monaghans, I suppose Alfie.

| Firstly I think the legend calls are for him as a person not a player. He’s widely accepted as a very nice fella and good on him, as a supporter I would prefer a horrible sod who was a better player though.
Secondly I don’t think we made the most of J Clark. Although clearly limited he was very good at getting into contact, drawing in two or three and offloading but we very rarely seemed to utilise that side of his game. He also saved his best performance for against Toulouse when we really needed it.

Clark finished the season pretty strongly, being one of our better performers in the last half dozen games which, given the generally dreadful performance of our back three forwards this year, makes me wonder why he hardly featured until then. Although no world beater he was streets ahead of the likes of Matt Davis.

His chase down of Lolohea at Huddersfield recently, over 75 metres revealed a turn of pace that I didn`t realise that Jason Clark possessed.

Briers and Westwood certainly, morley I would say is a wire legend and Nat wood (for his antics) in the superleague era. Monoghans are a good shout but probably fall just short. Jiffy and Mike gregory before superleague.

You can do as you like. I will still pass my opinion on the relative merits of a player based on watching other players in the same position for 40 years.
Nice guy maybe, but never legend status. He will be forgotten in the mists of time.

| Super nice guy, but what did he actually do over 4 years as an overseas sub player playing small minutes that a decent player from the championship couldn’t have done? Waste of a quota space, neither a prop or second row. Super nice guy though. Peak wire style signing of the last 5 years sadly.

| Nominating Nat Wood because of his antics is peak Wire too. Did he go to Wigan in the end? I seem to think he didn't, although he almost did. I hope not.

| Nat Wood was a very classy player as well to be fair to him. Did we release him so we could sign Michael Sullivan?
