Some of it must be incompetence though. Professional teams should be able to complete passes while running, we almost always fail.

I'm sorry, on tonight's showing, that's harsh.

What we have is a backline that is too inexperienced and are prone to errors or misjudgement and they eventually end up catching up with us.

Anyone slating them after tonight is merely doing so because they have an anti-Powell agenda.

We are fatigued. Conditioning letting us down plus being outpunched in the middle.

Lack of composure, blind panic, one out runs, not closing down in the tackle

You make your luck. We've bombed 3 or 4 gilt edged chances and made a lot of unenforced errors.

We are low on confidence. "Seriously poor" is not a fair description of the side tonight.

Not sure a conversation about the backline even commences before we talk about how ineffectual Holmes, Mulhern, Currie and the rest of the forwards have been.

I don’t have an anti Powell agenda I have been firmly in the give Powell time camp, the defensive line at times tonight has been appalling, some players pushing up and some staying back for a team spending what we do that is unacceptable.

● 1 man rugby.
● No 2nd phase.
● No support.
● No leader.
● No wrapping the player up leading to several offloads.
● Defensive frailties.
● No plan b.
● No composure on the break.
● No leader.

Let's just sum it up. It's not good enough.

True. We are a poor side with some talented individual players, and a huge wage bill. A million miles off.

I think im done with Powell now. He cant see or cant solve ANY of the multitude of problems we have that show week in week out.

I'd keep playing him though (once we secure sl status) might as well let the young lads get game time as the season fizzles out.

I'd of taken the capitulation we had in the playoffs in 1 match after actually securing a top 4 spot to the capitulations we are consistently having and in a relegation scrap.
