A bit left-field here, but do we really need Charnley in at the moment? I’d rather have the experience of Ratchford at the back for the playoffs, with Ashton’s pace available from the wing and Thewlis’ undoubted talent on the other side. Sure, that’s 3 fullbacks in the team, but how specialist do you actually need a winger to be? Especially in this Price team?

For me, Lineham has been better at the hard yards on tackle 1 and 2, than Charnley has this season. You have to weigh that against the possibility of a rash moment and a card being waved. |

I guess we didn't want to lose too much momentum when we rotate the front two. Bringing Mulhern on from the bench means we start a little weaker but hopefully don't have a shock drop-off which we've seen when we've brought two less effective props on at the same time. Having said that, Hill is going well and has a good enough engine. |
