Hopefully we are keeping him fresh for the last 25 minutes. Close games like this can be won by individual efforts and he's the sort of player that can break a game.

I don't think it will come to that, Cas pack is playing very well, I think their full roster will show in the end. Again though out lads are standing up well.. Toby King has been great and austin too. I prefer King in the second row. Gelling seems to always make an early mistake or 2 and then when he settles looks great. Needs to cut out the early errors.

We're running along side Cas to our own line in defence, just very poor. Having said that, ON our own line we are standing up impressively. With the possession and time spent in our own half I'll gladly take a 6-6 half time! Given ourselves a chance to sneak this. Just hope Price can give us a bit of a kick up the ass to do so.

We need to be better in the second half. They're very much on top.

How is tackling someone without the ball a sin bin, but not kneeing someone in the head?? Christ that was a close one. But with the personnel we had out? You have to take a win any way you can. Defended our line incredibly.

I can't be the only person that doesn't want to see the king and currie 2nd row partnership broken up next week. Hughes and Clark can sit out we look far more dangerous and dynamic with King and currie. Lineham likely to get a ban, ratch to 1, Ashton on the wing. Pick one of hughes/ currie for LF IMO. King is excellent in the 2nd row.

The challenge by Milner on Austin was just appalling. Imagine if Hill had done that? Half of this forum would have hanged him, never mind the disciplinary board.

Outstanding defence, and not surprising we weren’t particularly fluid in attack given the disruption. King looks better and better in the 2nd row, Currie has found his mojo. Good pass from Dec, but he is not the Messiah.
For Cas Richardson seems to be developing nicely, did Saints let him go too soon?

Also Richardson tackled mamo without the ball an offence that mamo was yellow carded for! Both of them (milner and richardson) should have gone for a 10 minute rest.

I’m shocked the sliding in with the knee didn’t warrant even a penalty. Late knee to the head should be a few matches, reckless at the very least.
Richardson was just a penalty because didn’t interfere with a clear try scoring opportunity, no complaint on that from me.

I don't enjoy Ratchford in the halves, he needs to be buzzing around the play the ball when we are attacking.

Was a much harder watch than last week, but the defensive effort was still quite awesome. Hicks rarely let us have a sniff of the ball, so to stay in the game showed tremendous resolve.

Give Cas credit for it being a harder watch, they're a much better side than Hull, a massive test for us with a depleted squad. We did incredibly well to stay in the game and tremendously well to snatch it. Incredible character, how big a moment was kings try saver. Cas weren't clinical enough but we made it really hard for them with effort and determination.

Really proud of the teams effort again. Ausin, King and Ashton for MOS points IMO.

A victory for hard endeavour and not letting Cas get away on the scoreboard when they were on a roll in the first 40, and when we were a man down in second. A fine quality try to take two league points, or whatever the weird percentage equivalent might be.

Some effort, great support play from Ashton, few out can’t complain defence absolutely awesome.

The Milner incident was appalling and I really didn't think Austin would recover. Milner had his arms stretched out to his sides, no attempt at a tackle and went in both knees first. Cowardly and blatant attempt to injure an opponent.

Proper arm wrestle of a game and very enjoyable to watch. Gelling needs to cut down on his knock ons.

Couple of errors from Gelling but otherwise a very good performance from him.

Scrappy start but easy to forget who we have out. Fair play to everyone involved and shouts to that core of senior players, Ratch, Austin, Cooper, Currie (who surely deserves his new deal now).

Shout to T.King too for 80 mins of full effort. Walker tackling was tenacious as well
