Phew, us and saints are the best 2 sides but no way would the saints have allowed that. They're more ruthless than us and for now are better and far more disciplined. They're the benchmark. Glad we got the 2 anyway.

15 penalties is ridiculous , no wonder the team were gasping for air in the second half. Nearly came unstuck last week as well.

We need to be ruthless when building a lead, if we don’t teams are going to know they will always get a chance to get back into the game. No need to cause pressure on ourselves.

Yes, we fell apart but there were very dubioua calls in there and the obatruction call was a real game changer.

Well, that was the worst refereeing I've seen for a long time. We were easily the better side, they were constantly off side and some of the penalties given against us were nothing short of a joke.

We do, but not many teams are capable of staging what wakey nearly did. Huge credit to them they've done it a few times, they don't know when they are beat and they move the ball very well when they get going. At half time it was our best performance of the season, they hadn't been terrible by any means, we stank second half in terms of errors yet still scored a great try. Wakey had a free shot, they had nothing to lose by throwing it around and it almost paid off. There were some dubious calls earlier on but near the end our own errors almost killed us.

Saints only beat Wakey by 1 try when they played last month. Always a tough place to go I'm happy to get the 2 points.

Heading home now and it feels like we've lost. It feels like Thaler is the most biased inconsistent useless cheat of a referee in a long while. It feels like he has taken the stats news that he's a homer and decided 'love that, watch me REALLY work for the home team"

The officials between them (and I may be wrong about Hicks till I watch it back) seemed to do their best to remove our scores and try their hardest to get Wakey up the field.

It's difficult for a team to stop giving penalties away when you're playing against the officials as well as the opposition.

I don't think he's biased, he's just crap. They don't like cricket scores it's bad for TV so there are always a few decisions to keep a team in the game. It's amateurish and has been for ages. Sort the refereeing out and our game grows IMO.

A good point, wakey on their day are one of the best teams in superleague. Saints didn't almost blow a big lead like we did though. The game should have been won at half time really. Lots for the coaches and players to work on this week.

Imagine how excited he would have been getting to come on here and mouth off for a week. Poor little guy.

Congrats on the win. Not going to lie I enjoyed that second half. Shows real character from us to be fair. Those first 10 minutes cost us dearly. Not watched the game back so can’t comment on any decisions (can’t see the screen from the north stand lol). Best of luck for the remainder of the season
