They played well tonight, yes Leigh were poor, but we still played well.

Positive: Hiku & Pomeroy switching between centre & Winger worked well. Hiku especially slipped a great ball to Pomeroy to score - promising. Offloading game and kicking game back on point.

Yeah Leigh were poor, very poor. But we hammered one of our Middle 8 challengers, and we looked pretty good in the process.

Yes, we're still shocking, but today was a huge improvement on where we have been. It gives us something to build upon.

I am disappointed even with a healthy win that gained us nothing with Huddersfield knocking up +40 with the win.

Had a feel of Wilderspool tonight. Crowd expecting a loss, no entitled feeling much enjoying what was put infront of us. I for one enjoyed it.

Most enjoyable game in months. Best we could hope for was some improvement and some form to take into the middle 8's and that's what we got. The team played as a unit tonight with players supporting breaks and some decent attacking play close to the line. Pomeroy and Hiku on the right edge looked good and Hughes looks much more effective in the second row. Lineham is class.

The club needs more of you happy clappers + and if your satisfied with a dreadful season not to mention another season without any silverware well bully for you.I for one still want Smith + Agar out at end of this season.

I thought Gidley was superb pushed all the way by Westwood for man of the match in my opinion.

Leigh were dreadful make no bones about that. Only Ben Reynolds looked anything like a decent player.

We still have issues Chris Hill still can't help himself with giving away penalties. Dec Pattons short kicking game was a mile off. Darryl Clark is either injured or finished. ...he should have run riot at Leighs awful marker defence.

Oh and Atkins still can't pass. ....but he is still strong enough and fast enough to get away with it.

I'm not a converted happy clapper. .. I was just happy with yesterdays game. ...We will still be playing semi pro level in a few weeks and we should all be embarrassed about it.

Whether people on here want TS gone or not, the best scenario for the team is that they start to gel, regain confidence and win games as they approach the (probable) middle 8's. The last thing anybody wants to see is a drop to the Championship.

Well said. We are where we are. The focus is where we will be in 2018 and the post mortem and recriminations can start the day after our safety is confirmed. Until then we are stuck with what we've got and we need to establish some form, some confidence and some victories. Yesterday was a good start.

Of all the posters on this Board you have amassed a huge number of negative posts - I could go back and count them I suppose but it would be a long task. You seem to be conducting a personal campaign, and not one that is particularly pleasant using inflammatory language (Thought police, cancer at the heart of the club, happy clappers, something or other Nigels etc). Looking at some of the replies on the Guardian website I also notice that there is a 'Scarlet Pimpernel' urging fans not to attend games using wording that sounds suspiciously similar to what you typically pen. Is that you as well 71 ?
