Cowboys were rusty first half coupled with ref giving Leeds a lot of penalties kept them in it, once cowboys clicked second half just dominated comfortably... gulf between NRL and SL is huge.

Hate to say it but this WCS has been good for us. We're fresh and ready to go for next week; three of our (usual) competitors for honours are knackered and demoralised.

It's been very good for us. All three teams were beaten up before they went into it, and they're even more beaten up now. Can't see McIlorum playing again this season (and wouldn't wish an injury like that on anyone), also Smith and two others injured. Must admit that I really enjoyed the Garbutt punch. The Cowboys player deserved everything he got and it was an absolute cracker.

It was pretty nasty, but didn't Hill come back from a broken limb in about 6 weeks in 2014? Injury recovery times these days are staggeringly fast in most cases.

The bookies think so too since these games and have relaxed the odds on all three of them.
Wire odds shorten dramatically, just over evens. Close 2nd fav behind Wigan in all completions now. 2 weeks ago Wire were no shorter than 6/1 in all competitions.

Had a sneaky feeling Leeds would be up for an early tussle as they was against us. Put £12 on the ht draw and Cowboys win at 18/1. Happy days.

I've just watched a Wolves video of Hill and Ratchford and and a couple of Sydney Rooster players and what struck me right away, even in this light hearted clip was the focus and seriousness of the two Aussies and their physiques. Clearly we've got a lot of catching up to do.

Throughout the sporting spectrum in Britain there is still the attitude of "It isn't the winning it's the taking part".Especially with team sports,we don't seem to have the killer instinct to put opponents to bed.
