| The first column are the top eight finishers and their positions. (why 1st is at the bottom is beyond me, but it makes the rest of the table prettier)
Then you have to read across each row to see who that respective team plays at home and away.
Every number represents the finishing position of the team.
So, for example, the top row is:
Team finishing 2nd plays 3rd , 5th and 6th at home and 4th, 7th and 8th Away.
Get it?

| If I were TS, I'd head for 2nd position as "on paper" it looks like the 'easier' of the draws after the split.

Yes. You will notice 8 rows of numbers. Each row represents regular league season finishing positions. So, the first row of numbers are your fixtures if you finish 1st in the table. If you finish 1st, you will have home fixtures against teams that finished in positions 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th and away to teams who finished 4th, 7th and 8th.
The second row is for the 2nd place team, 3rd for the 3rd place team and so on.
Easy!

That doesn't look right to me Paul (even with my hazy memory). In 2012 we played two fixtures over there within about 5 weeks of each other. The league game was in April and they put forty-odd points on us, we took revenge in the May in the CC quarter final beating em by 10 points.
Well, stronmg rumours of a wintery fixture next year!! I think a long weekend of rugby and maybe a little snowboarding up in the mountains might be the plan (I'd prefer some sunshine and a Barcelona fixture to be honest)

No, you are correct. It was certainly April ( 9th ?). I remember young Brad Dwyer starting off a move on the left flank, then backing up (Bridge ?) to score a really good try. It was the only bright spot of the match though as we lost 44-16.

| End of Feb, day time temp is usually around 16c-18c and can touch the low 20's on the Costas feeling very warm in sunshine.(UK 8c day) Certainly shorts and t'shirt weather for us British.
The swimming pool is only for the very brave though!
I do Benidorm in Jan and the temp then is 16c in the day time.
I'll definitely be going to thaw out if in Feb/Mar, I don't enjoy summer temp of around 30c, so I don't go.

that cant be right surely that table is incomplete and not showing it numbered down the left from position 1 to 8
as you say... why put the team finishing 1st at the bottom of the list? and more importantly why do they only get two home games and four away....? (plus that's 6 fixtures why are they not playing everyone)
if your theory is correct then 2nd position doesn't get to play the league leaders....?
I think The split system is a joke to be honest and this particular release winds me up...
a)it doesn't look correct which is pathetic and makes us look stupid
or
b) it is correct and is totally unfair which still makes us look stupid.

Or c) the above interpretation of the table is incorrect and the actually interpretation of the table was a few posts below:

Easy!'"
Whilst people are perfectly entitled to not like the new system (there are things I would change) - but this isn't nearly as gimmicky and wrong as the extra fixture caused by Magic weekend for example ...

yes the above interpretation was wrong.. and as I mentioned in my reply the linked image from the Warrington guardian was clearly missing the league position columns 1 to 8.
I'm not a fan of it, it is gimmicky but in essence its easier to explain than the current playoffs.
"the top 8 split away, and play each other again once in a mini league, then after those 7 fixtures the bottom four are out, and 1st plays 4th and 2nd plays 3rd for the grand final spots...... that's actually quite easy to explain to our footballing friends.....!!
my preference would have been a simpler relegation, a first past the post champions and a real world club Challenge - top 3 from each league (our version of the champions League).
