Big Roy was unplayable in the second half.

O'Brien was superb, Michael Monaghan must have run him close for MOM though.

Every Wire player on that pich put in a performance tonight, even Big Roy put in a good shift. Wishing Grix a speedy recovery it didn't look good, couldn't watch the replay that Sky Sports unnecessarily decided to show.

No one had a bad game tonight

Really really chuffed. Wire were excellent. TS speed tactics and taking out big threats like Masoe. I'm over the moon and going to buy a top up from the offy and watch the game again as I'm off tomorrow.

With a good few ales down, it's going to be very tricky not post something about the hubcap on the saints board at 2 in the morning.

Everyone stood up today and did a great job. Roy was determined and wanted to be out there. You could see by the little things, kick pressure and line speed. Massive difference.

Evans, Monaghan and Russell making meters from the back really built a platform and the halves look good. Fluent and confident.

Massively important for us to keep some momentum going. Don't need to win at Wigan, just play well and ask questions.

I do agree Morleys Deckchair but it's only in recent years of Wire success that the knob ends of Saints and Wigan have stopped trolling on this forum. Especially Saints fans, so a lovely hubcap incident pays back many years of taking.


Awesome Wire display. Amongst many, M Monaghan, O Brien, Hill and Laithwaite were outstanding along with TS tactics. I also think that it's no coincidence that Laithwaite was ever present during our 10 match unbeaten run.

I (hopefully) won't post that hubcap thing thing on the Saints forum. Saint Simon nearly banned me last time for voting for Paul Wellens every week in their MOM poll.

Yep, Wigan fans in general don't seem to goad like the Saints fans. It's on the terraces as well where the Saints fans have really taken the more than any others.

Surprised no-one has mentioned Joel he was huge for the team. Reads the play so well.

Roy was descent tonight. He went in on a fully charging Moso with Waterhouse I think and stopped him. Ideal opportunity to chicken out but didn't and credit to him.

If we beat Wigan next week we'll likely have Saints again at their place for the qualifying playoff. I'm okay with that!

The visual of that shield being hauled down the corridor made up for the decade of kickings and near misses! Utterly utterly priceless!

I'm not one for normally putting a downer on a great win but there are things to work on. Being brutal here but the kicking game was very ordinary at times tonight, especially in the first half and that needs to improve going forward.

That's what I was going to mention. Myler was the go to at the end of almost every set and every time he looked for space he ended up kicking right to a Saints player. What made me laugh was when he tried to kick the ball directly to Saints to re-take that drop out before half time and it ended up about 15 meters to the right...

GOBs try, just like t'other week, reminded me of Bert's trademark. He got MOM with less opportunity than Myler; which I think says a lot. I really hope that TS keeps and replaces Myler with Bridge when Bridge is fit.

Even at 22-12 up I was nervous. I thought, given our losses/use of subs so early on, that we'd be out of gas come the last quarter. Great performance all round.

And, just to echo what else has been said: them hauling away the LLS was priceless. The whole thing looked choreographed especially since it was followed by a shot of our lot jeering. I bet Saints were livid and calling out bias.

Be careful what you wish for vw, you don't think Saints who boasted the best current record of 7 consecutive wins would put in another performance littered with so many errors again do you?

Only been to a handful of away games this year, but tonight was the first time I've heard a chant about Big Roy
